Casual Guilds

After being 70 for a while now on my rogue, I decided to join a guild. They were a casual raiding guild. Yes it was as confusing as it sounds. Although there were a few nice people in the guild who were dedicated and brought their part. Something itchy was crawling and lurking beneath. Slacking...

I came from a hardcore and focussed guild which is maybe why I share these views, but I still struggle to see how being non-focussed is seen as casual...

Anyone else had this issue before?

I'm in one of the biggest guild in the US server, with more than 320 active accounts. Including people in the alt guild, we usually get over 130 people online during primetime, and there is always people online.

While we are very active, we only have 3x25man raiding group (that mean abourt 90 raiders).

The 3 groups raid only 2 night per week. The 3rd group might become more hardcore with 3-4 night.

Anyway, the core of the guild still remain non-25-man raiders.
At about anytime in the week, 7/24, there is a kara run, anf often some ZA run. Mag/Grull are even started on the fly.
While casual, 1 group clear SSC and is trying to kill Kael, the 2 othe group are on Lady Vash and will probably down here next week.

When we rebuilded the raid-group, my group had like 10 members without any experience in SSC. We cleared 5/6 with a maximum of 1 failure per boss.

Casual raider, when leaded properly, can perform very well :-)
