Age of Conan

Forthcoming Free Content Update Details

Funcom have revealed two brand new zones and also new and revamped dungeons and itemization. One of the dungeons getting revamped is the Black Castle and also the Commons district of the capital city Tarantia will get revamped. There are even more juicy details, such as new social dungeon called House of Crom and on the horizon another zone named Thunder River.

We're really serious about adding content," Ellingsen said. "We agree that content thins out after level 55."

Ellingsen demonstrated the Commons district of the capital city Tarantia, expected soon. This mid-level slum area allows players to pick a side in a gang war between street bandits and the rulers of the rooftops. Questing will include thieving, exploration and stealth gameplay as well as combat, and complex storylines with moral choices.

Attention then moved on to the Black Castle dungeon, which is being extensively revamped. Originally a basic dungeon aimed at solo players, it will soon be a more sophisticated group dungeon featuring traps and puzzles reminiscent of the Legend of Zelda - shooting an eye with an arrow to kill a giant snake, or standing on pressure pads to allow your team-mates to pass flame-throwers.

Actually the game is fine. The community surrounding it sucks though.
And that would include all the retards that have not even tried the game but have still bashed the game. (not saying that you have not tried it grimmace)

I actually loved the game, but left it again due to not enough of our wow guild moving there.
In the end it was a matter of me missing the people that I was used to playing with that made me leave.

FC provided the game, but the community was lacking.. (yes the game has it's flaws, but it was still in good shape when it came out)

5 years development and that was the best they could do, isn't fine really. It's not an unpleasant game, but there is better available. When a game highlights that some NPCs are now topless, that's when I consider if they are really professional enough to run a decent service.

Considering nipple placement and *** phsyics were a chief complain from a large base of the community, you have to wonder how seriously the community took the game in the first place. The last problem with AoC is the dev team.

Community gripes about boobs boobs get adress. Community gripes about bugs, update schedule goes weekly. Community went postal about mem leaks, hotfix was pushed out BEFORE the update. These guys seem to generally want to push what the community is telling them to push out. My hat's off to the steps they've taken but unfortunately mylle is right. Too many people looking to replace WoW with..... WoW.
