T3 - The Tier of Sucking

OK our little BO/DoK team has progressed a little, since sunday (eaaarly mornin) we're finally at rank 20. We PvP'ed and PvM'ed (mostly in PQs) us in two days from rank 15 to 20.

Only to buy us some mounts. Which are looking slightly odd when a barrel of a creature like the Blackorc mounts a little Boar, while the squishy little elf gets on top a 2m shoulderheight Lizard. You should really see that.

Anyway... while my mate is not online or ingame every day, I created a Darkelf Sorceror for soloplay. I wish I hadn't. As it seems cloth wearers aren't my style of play. But anyway, he's currently at rank 23 and it gets worse.

PvP SC's suck so bad on T3, most of all 'Tor Anroc' a lava laden zone with very tight corridors and killing lava all around you. So far nothing special... BUT (!).. certain skills imbalance this zone the hell bad. With certain skills I mean knockbacks, while they don't affect other zones much, in TA its everything. Imagine you stand there with your Sorc or your Healer with a bunch of other players and while you stand their and heal/dps the ****, some pointed ears comes unleashes a single skill and BOOM the whole grp is sailing through the air right into the lava. And thats it. There's no immunity, no resistance, nothing, you simply die and the others get the points for it.

I hope Mythic is going to improve this by removing or replacing the lava in this map or changing the knockback skills in a way that makes them fairer. Losing every TA one after another isn't much of balanced gaming.

Best Regards,
Art

It's of no consequence at all if its the best tactic as long as it is the one most used. And even if it yields no points at all, the people that go down will be missed when it goes to defending or attacking against the others. Put like you want, it's still the same.

I think you are mistaken when you say this bit "you simply die and the others get the points for it." I don't believe anyone gets any points for people killed in the lava which makes it not always the best tactic to emply.

If you mean the Swordmaster aoe knockback called Gusting Wind, it can be parried. Mine gets parried quite often, although like most attacks you are more likely to hit with them than have them defended against with block/parry/dodge/disrupt, so it seems like it cannot be defended against. For any Swordmasters who dislike the Zealot power Wind of Insanity (it's the AP/sec mastery path ability that keeps a persistent knockback "field" around the Zealot): I believe Taunt will disrupt their channeling of this spell. It's entertaining to see a Zealot running at a group knocking them back in short bursts constantly, but it's more interesting to see it shut off with a single Taunt. Keep your Taunt off of cooldown as much as possible when many Zealots are present, and they won't be able to abuse the fact that they can "force push" you for six seconds.
