    PvP vs. PvE

Last weekend, I worked my sorceror a little the way up and he's 25 now. One step closer to T4 at last. Was a hard one, did the last few precent, with discovering things in T4 content. I wonder how I get to lvl 31 without them.

As scenarios are seldom really good for gaining exp - at least as long as your team isn't the winning- and killing-side with 20k exp.

So I decided PvE would be best, but if you are a cloth wearer you will have a hard time in some quests. I noticed that when I journeyed around "Nightfirepass" (Bad Translation from German - Maybe!) and found a quest where you had to kill some priest called Lucien Somewhat and steal something from his cooking pot. But when he's around 10% health, the little bugger calls some Nurglings and with my petty cloth armor, I get a kick in the nuts. So what? Group up? Right, IF there were any guys around who could provide help. Maybe its the server I've chosen, dunno.

Well, who cares. Quest deleted, scenario flag set.

So you do when you are soloing around. But what when you got a group of guys you play with all the time and one of them is a quester and two others are more PvP aligned? I'll tell you: Every time you are close to complete a quest, some friggin scenario will open and you won't get 3 quests done in time the next SC opens. And in most of this cases, the scenario proves absoluteley effortless, you MAY gain 10k EXP, but gods in this 15 minutes or 10 minutes or whatever I'd done that nearly twice. And without complaining about healers, Mythic or whatnot. Gods the pain......

But still, sometimes its fun. If you just wouldn't have to decide if you do PvE or PvP :P No, no, cut that!

But I have to say, since Equipdrop in PvE is somewhat better than in PvP - as long as you kill champs along the road - and equip is starting to make the difference between getting ass-kicked or kicking-ass - my fellow players are more inclined toward PvE, even if its only PQs.

Ok, thats it, next time I'll talk about the different zones and what I liked really good about them. Sneak-Peak: Venture from Barak Varr into the Nightfirepass and enjoy two Orcs playing Snotling-Tennis.

Nearly I forgot! If you have a big, pro gaming and at least midlevel guild and you are still searching for members, add a comment! I am searching for one on Huss, mustn't be a RP related guild. I'd prefer a PvP or Raid oriented guild.

When the heck did I create all this chars?!

Do you know this? You log in WAR, and your character screen appears and you can barely see the 2nd line of chars? Yeah, that one.

And I'am beginning to understand why this happens... over the years you get to know so many people: friends, ex-colleagues, guildmates and what not else. And those who have close ties to you try to play the same game like you or the other way around. And every time someone shows up you like "Wow cool, you play this too? Come on, we team up with new chars!"

I am beginning to hate it. I could be level 40 since eons hadn't I done so. But ok, so the content lasts longer.

Anyway, the problem isn't that you can't play the character you want, the problem is you can't play WHEN you want to since every time you log in, someone other is logged in and begs to play that or this char with them. And I for one, can't say no... ;)

T3 - The Tier of Sucking

OK our little BO/DoK team has progressed a little, since sunday (eaaarly mornin) we're finally at rank 20. We PvP'ed and PvM'ed (mostly in PQs) us in two days from rank 15 to 20.

Only to buy us some mounts. Which are looking slightly odd when a barrel of a creature like the Blackorc mounts a little Boar, while the squishy little elf gets on top a 2m shoulderheight Lizard. You should really see that.

Anyway... while my mate is not online or ingame every day, I created a Darkelf Sorceror for soloplay. I wish I hadn't. As it seems cloth wearers aren't my style of play. But anyway, he's currently at rank 23 and it gets worse.

PvP SC's suck so bad on T3, most of all 'Tor Anroc' a lava laden zone with very tight corridors and killing lava all around you. So far nothing special... BUT (!).. certain skills imbalance this zone the hell bad. With certain skills I mean knockbacks, while they don't affect other zones much, in TA its everything. Imagine you stand there with your Sorc or your Healer with a bunch of other players and while you stand their and heal/dps the ****, some pointed ears comes unleashes a single skill and BOOM the whole grp is sailing through the air right into the lava. And thats it. There's no immunity, no resistance, nothing, you simply die and the others get the points for it.

I hope Mythic is going to improve this by removing or replacing the lava in this map or changing the knockback skills in a way that makes them fairer. Losing every TA one after another isn't much of balanced gaming.

    The Art of WAR

I love this game. The graphics are aweful, but the gameplay rocks the hell well. And because that is so I want to make a little discrete attempt to give you some insight in the (near-to) daily expierience with WAR. So here we go...

Orcs? Dwarves? Elves of all kind? Chaosbarbarians? Cannons 4 men high? Dim of battle all around ya? Well, you've finally arrived in WARHAMMER Online.

Kinda star-struck I went to character creation and as it is in every MMO I play - I begin to create characters with almost no concept. After creating a Chaos Mage, a Darkelf Sorceror, a Blackorc and a Chaos Marauder, I finally decided that I needed for first-time WHO expierience something in green aka MEAN-GREEN. ;)

Well then, my friend choose to play a Darkelf Disciple of Khaine, so after login my first quest was to get to some flightmaster and get to the same zone. As I had a little closed beta expierience I found my way and got to him in almost no time and nearly Rank 2 because of my repeated entries in "the Book". Ah **** to hell with it, he navigated me with a bunch of maps that google spat out and I got myself nearly killed for several times over! :P

After a couple of quests we joined our first scenario, the dark elf T1 scenario.

And I kicked ass as a tank :) And I loved the style of play, after some serious butchering the enemies concentrated on me and went like "Ohoh there's the big mean Black Orc, coming, FIIIREEEE" and I loved it even more! I think we've von 488 to 132 and I am inclined to think it was in big parts on my account! :P Well, at least I think some big green monster that rushes all the way through your cloth-wearers gives them something to think about!

But my fiery killing spree ended in a Public Quest then (back in PVE of course), when some huuuuge Dragon spwaned and knocked me off with 3 blows or something. Forgot the name but it was quite a sight, for the first things we knocked out weren't even champs and that was a hero! Wtf?!

    To be continued...
