It has always been and I suspect will always be in Southern Cal. HQ is in Irvine and the Anaheim convention center is about a 30 minute drive. Everything else Matthewscott said is pretty much on the money. This past year they rented out 3 floors and 4 halls, no matter how they do it or where, there just isn't room for all 13 million players!

The biggest reason they have it where its been is its close proximity to Blizzard's headquarters. Blizz's employees are the ones manning the diff sales booths, for them to have the convention in another state they would have to either hire vendors, or pay amazingly large travel costs. Its a poor setup, theyre kinda locked into having it in N Cali.

They should have it in Texas somewhere, Houston has the George R Brown convention center, hugs place with two stories and plenty of room for Blizzcon!

Maybe they could head out of USA but stay in North America and go to Montreal, the biggest gaming city in Canada. (All major studio are here)
