    Sorry... not liking the new site. Every time somebody make a post about an addon it marks it as being updated. Gets confusing.

    Also the "favorites" there's no way I can even tell what version it is. Maybe I am missing something, but it's not easy to see if it's there.

    It's like Windows Xp tripping on some bad crack.

    the design is ok, but the favorites-page is not useable an more!!!!!!!!!

    please, please, show the version of the addons and let the user decide to update the "last seen" flag...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    and show the version of a addon on the detail-page!!!!! otherwise the function is completly useless...

    for example, how can i update all my favorites so that they are not bold anymore???

    thanks KARLI

    Search is broken, it only returns one page of data, no matter how items there are in the system.

    Select Wow Portal, click on addons, hunt around until you can find the search area, search for "Raid", you'll only get 1 page,and it stops at the C's. Sort by date/time, and you'll see different entries.

    Also, the mod categories are stupid, 90% of the mods aren't categorized, and while I'm at it, what dumbass decided to have both a "Miscellaneous" and "Other" category.

    This is a failed redesign for curse, and I'll be looking to other services for my mods needs.

    @Nimloth

    "theres a whopping great big "WoW Addons" link on the top right of the page."

    The reason people don't see it is because that's not what button or links look like. It looks like a banner add.

    Sigh, You see this all the time now, so I don't fault for that, but if you want people to interact with something on the screen, you must make it look like it's interactable.

    You all need to realize this is a transition. If you want to complain and say "bye Curse" go ahead. We see it all the time on the WoW forums, and guess what, they still come back.

    Why? Because it's something they need. Just because on day 1 of the site's release not everything is functioning 100 percent doesnt mean the site "sucks" all of a sudden.

    If you cant find some constructive criticism, then go ahead, use another service, one that provides half the functionality and probably won't last on patch day.

    @Zinor

    None of your comments invalidate my valid comments. If your system wasn't ready, don't roll it out. Don't get pissy at me for pointing out something you seem already know.

    I think I have pointed out what's wrong, but I'll make a discrete list:

    1. 1 Fix the search, one page of entries listing 1/10th of the returned results isn't acceptable.
    1. 2 Area of the sites that are supposed to be functional buttons need to look like buttons, not banner ads (see: WOW Addons)
    1. 3 Remove the redundant category of "Other" or "Miscellaneous"

    As for you comments about a functioning service, you're wrong. You HAD one, now you don't. Whether it bears the load or doesn't matter to me if I can find the add ons I need.

    @ EvilJohn

    >#1 Fix the search, one page of entries listing 1/10th of the returned results isn't acceptable.

    This has been fixed already before your posting.

    >#2 Area of the sites that are supposed to be functional buttons need to look like buttons, not banner ads (see: WOW Addons)

    This isn't the intended link, its just there for quick access while people get used to the site. The actual link is on the wow portal on the left menu where it says -> Addons

    >#3 Remove the redundant category of "Other" or "Miscellaneous" I personally fixed this over 8 hours ago......

    @Nimloth

    1. 1 Issue resolved, I see more results.

    Suggestion: Make the results more friendly, give a browsable indexy by first letter. If I'm looking for a mod that starts with G, having to guess "Page 4" is not user friendly.

    1. 2 Your call. In which case, the condescending comment to your user was unwarranted.
    1. 3 Agreed this issue is resolved at this time.

    Search Page is not done. I'm sure Zinor will get around to that when other major changes are done, such as searching for v2.0 compatible addons, favorites showing version info, and the right bar on addons page changing into something similiar to v2.

    >#2 Your call. In which case, the condescending comment to your user was unwarranted. You're right. It was made as a result of 30 hours of work and an uncounted amount of less than polite commentary.

    >#3 Agreed this issue is resolved at this time ^^

    As we've said, just cause something isn't working right now doesn't mean it wont be resolved or implemented. It would have greatly helped to get a lot of this feedback while we were asking people to go to the beta to try stuff out and comment on it, but alas, that didn't happen.

    As a result it means that we have to do it this way since this is the only way to get the feedback from the users. Believe me when I say that the feedback is highly valued, and that our intention isn't to leave any function out. If its worth being implemented then we will, as soon as we have the resources to do so. We don't want to be just an addons site, or just a wow site. We want to be the best site for everything we implement be it news, addons, media, videos, you name it.

    After we are done with all the fixes for addons section and we are able to get back to working on other features we have planned for the site, as they get implemented you will soon find that Curse will become the most comprehensive and feature rich , stable and robust online gaming website there is out there.

    In conclusion, constructive criticism and suggestions are welcomed greatly, rude commentary and insults are not.

    Website design, layout and look - thumbs up.

    Favourites section - a ball ache to use, not user friendly, impossible to manage, doesn't seem to be updating correctly, and is currently (at time of posting) not working - thumbs down.

    The ability to check addons for mass deletion and mass updating of last view is a must, I had to go through each and every single one of my addons individually just to clear them!

    I would like to take the time at this point to fill you in on exactly what the problem is currently.

    As far as site design and code goes, this is not the reason for the site not working for a multitude of you. The problem that exists right now is the following: The Curse website runs on multiple synchronized servers in order to be able to handle the enormous amount of traffic that this patch is producing not just for us, but every addon page there is out there. Currently, there seems to be a problem with the hardware (load-balancer) that intercepts the traffic to the website and evenly distributes the traffic onto our different web servers. The issue resides in that it is forwarding the traffic to only one of the web servers rather than all of them. Because of this, that server is getting overloaded and you are getting "server error".

    We are currently working on a solution to this and hope to have the problem resolved soon.

    WoW Addons link is not working. The "Dowload your Updated 2.0 Addons here!" link returns a server error.

    Seriously, guys, I think you picked the wrong time to roll out V3 unless, ofc, you wanted to stress test it (and your user base). I guess, it did not require rocket science to anticipate the rush for updated 2.0.1 compatible add-ons. Imho, usability > eye candy. And to be honest, the new site does not fare well in the usability department so far ^.^

    I don't want to be rude by any mean and I waited two days to see how it is going before to post this comment but I think that there are quite serious issues on this new site. I get the server error page almost anytime I click on a link, after some patient reload I get the page I want. A Misc tools I uploaded disappeared without notice. The former usability of the addon section is completely gone. I can also understand that these things will go fixed but at least 2 questions don't stop filling my mind: why you needed to publish this site in a so early beta state and 2 days before of the most big patch of WoW since its release? Maybe an answer to this questions could help me in avoiding to CURSE this site.
