Game Portals Get a Unique Look!

We've pushed live visual improvements for our major game portals that creates a unique experience when browsing each portal. We feel it's important to make each game's portal as tailored to that game as possible so that you know you're visiting the World of Warcraft portal here on Curse when you're on http://wow.curse.com, for example. With that in mind, each game portal now has a custom-designed background skin specific to that game.

We'd love to hear everyone's feedback on the new background skins for game portals, so please do pay a visit to our Feedback & Suggestions forum and let us know what you think!

You can access any of our game portals by clicking on the game's graphic on the left portion of the Curse.com main page, or by using the Portals tab of the navigation menu on the top.

    Let me guess... you need a certain graphic setting to even notice a difference?

    I sure can't see anything different on my screen...

    If your are running your monitor on a standard none-widescreen 1024 x XXX (1024 x 768 generally), the background-skin is not noticable due to the layout of the basic site. However, if you run widescreen 1024 x XXX or anything above standard 1280 x 1024 you will see that there is a new background-skin for each game.

    At least, that is what I have found.

    Personally, I'd like to see the Curse.com banner at the top of the screen go through some form of overhaul for the different portals.

    Looks good although I would perhaps like to see the color layouts effect the top bar (the one above the curse logo and searchbar) as well. Beyond that I'm all for it as long as it doesn't effect load times or cause you to have to spend a larger of chunk of $$$ bandwidth... not that you don't have a ton of bandwidth as it is. =p

    I absolutely love it. I just came back to WoW after being gone for a while, logged onto Curse and fell in love with the new design. :) It's quite clear, uncluttered, and to the point. Great job, I'm one happy user. ;)
