Curse Client Mirror Now Available

Hi everyone,

We've had a number of requests for client mirrors since yesterday's patch, and we've now added a few additional sources to download the client.  While we appreciate users helping out and uploading to file sharing websites, we encourage everyone to only use sources which we have specifically made available.  The download sources we have officially set up are listed below, and we'll be updating this list as more sources are added.

Thank you everyone for your patience!

It should be available again. We have some faulty hardware that we should hopefully be able to replace tomorrow, so we appreciate your patience in the meantime if there are issues. Please report them and we'll make sure to get everything sorted if we haven't already noticed it.

Same problem as Knaldege here, also getting "An unknown error occurred contacting the server", wondering if it's congestion?

Getting "An unknown error occurred contacting the server" issue when selecting "Sign In" on the Curse Client (2.0.0.14, Windows XP SP3) I have a valid account (naturally, as I'm posting here) and the issue started to occur around 11:30 AM EST, October 15th 2008 However, prior to that above mentioned time, I was already logged into the Curse Client and successfully downloading apps. It wasn't until I tried to download (via CC) the Cartographer (non 3.0) addon that I experienced any issue... as I trying to download the addon, the CC would say something like "Package failed..." This prompted to restart the client (completely exit and restart it) at the above mentioned time - after which I have been unable to sign in via CC.

Thanks for the suggestion, kylector. I'm going to look into that now. :)

You could also open an Amazon S3 account and post it there. They can handle the load and the bandwidth would be cheap for you. Yesterday it took me about 5 attempts to finish the client download complete and uncorrupted.
