Down the Road and Back Again, a Dwarven Holiday

WOW history

more than 3 years ago, when the game came out, i made Brandwynn, dwarven holy paladin...and determined to keep her a healer all throughout her leveling...and i did, more stubborn than a mule, i'd say. when she hit level 30, she met with the leader of the Silent Angels (Deathwing, US) and joined, became pretty much the mother/grandmother/confidant/officer of the guild. when they fell apart suddenly, i continued leveling alone, till one day i shrieked dastardly curses at horde in un'goro at around level 50ish, and bullvai and a couple of others showed up and saved my tushy, i just healed them, and did it well. i was subsequently asked to join the Disciples, often known as TD on the server. i climbed the ranks of the paladins, and became an officer about a year or so later, and took on the job of lead healer in our 40mans, and lead paladin as well. i also began training young paladins to heal. Several months ago, i became disenamored of the Disciples, i was very uncomfortable with their policy on help the core group and forget the rest...what had happened to helping all our guildies to get to where they wanted to be. toward the end of original world of warcraft, i was leading a zg raid for the guild...a few months ago, i left the disciples and went to riven. where i was determined not to be an officer again, and helped one kara group to finish kara. then i realized, you know, it would help us in the progression if we had more than just a core 25 people to draw on in case some were not able to make the raid for whatever reason...so i recently, as of a month ago, started putting together a run for alts and those who hadn't been able to go to karazhan before. help them gear up, help them get ready for the 25man content. and, i must say, our kara group is successful, we've downed all but netherspite and illhoof in the 3 weeks we've been seriously running. i predict a full clear in 2 weeks. and a couple are geared well enough now that they are attending a couple of 25 man raids...i intend to step down from mag/gruul as of next month, and only be an alternate, as that would give room for another healer to be trained/geared. you cannot raid train if you cannot raid. you cannot gear up if you cannot raid. and you cannot progress if you do not have a second string waiting in the wings. go riven! i predict mount hyjal/black temple in 6 months or less!
