The guide, written by Peter Cohen, explains the basics of the game and is not just a guide to Eve on the Mac but is also a good place to start for late comers to the Windows title.

The guide, which is designed mostly as an introduction to the game, explains the storyline, the races, the trade and commerce, Alliance and wars among many other tidbits of information and is well worth a read if you are planning on starting your very first character on Eve.
