Final Fantasy XIV Classes Revealed

FFXIVCore.com has posted news that reveals the class system for Final Fantasy XIV, as well as more details on the races available in the game!

Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu, has just released a 9-page spread full of new information on FFXIV's new races and job system. This thread and information is constantly being updated as we receive more and more verifiable information.

A Brief Overview:

Humans are now called Hyuran, and have undergone basically no change. Tarutaru are now Lalafell, and have grown a lot taller in this game. Galka are now called Roegadyn, losing their tail and gaining size in comparison to XI. Whether or not there are any new races is still unknown.

Races:
Hume: Hyuran (NA) ヒューラン Hyu-ran (JP) (pronounced "Hyoo rawn")
Taru: Lalafell
Galka: Roegadyn (NA) ルガディン Rugadein (JP) (pronounced "Roo ga deen")
Elvaan: Elzen
Mithra: Miqo'te

Job System:
There are four categories for now: Warriors, Magus, Crafters and Hunters/Fielders. In each category, there are different jobs:

Warrior: Swordsman, Archer
Magus: Enchanter, Sorcerer
Crafter: Smith, Cook
Gatherer: Gardener, Fisher

    hehehe other Final Fantasy Online for sleep waiting one party, hahahaha in FFXI i falling sleep waiting one party, well no more i change to WoW, here fun never ending, If FFXIV Incoming in same party and exp. system No Thanks.

    In FFXI if one no find party try leveling alone for only some exp but if you die lost 2000exp point that is suck.

    Lol... this game is so stupid... I would be all for it if it were like their console games, but its a completely different game.  They are just making a diff version of FFXI, I don't get teh point.

    hehe, i would have rather they made new races, as this is just giving FFXI players more to complain about not being able to transfer their characters from FFXI to FFIV.

    They did this so FFXI players would feel a familiar experience when moving over to the new game. :P

    Interesting... A new MMO with races i have never seen before in any other MMOs ending with the letters XI in the title... fascinating. :o
