Global Agenda High-Tech FPS Shooter Launches "No Elves" Viral Campaign

Global Agenda has kicked off a new marketing campaign with the slogan "No Elves" and released a viral video to coincide with the campaign. If you haven't had a chance to play Global Agenda yet they are taking pre-registrations for beta on the right hand side of their website at http://www.GlobalAgendaGame.com.

The game is incredibly player driven, players create in-game agencies and use hi-tech weapons in their quest to control regions, nations, and the world. The character shown below is a recon specialist that would normally focus on sniping and stealth, there are many other classes including assault, medic, and robotic, each with dozens of upgrades and abilities, giving the player the option to spec the class in the way that best fits their gameplay.

    Comparing this to Huxley (another mmofps soon to be out), what i really like is the dedicated servers. Huxley pvp matches are setup to have one person as the server and the others are his/her cilents, which i did not like. It gives an unfair advantage to whoever is hosting. Also, this game seems to be good way for my clan to do clan missions without having to join a league. Which you are forced to do in most fps if you want competitive teamwork play.     I love the way the video highlights the differences between Global Agenda and all the fantasy MMOs out there. Obviously, the sci-fi setting vs fantasy, and cast bar vs just shooting.. Less obvious, the actual aiming in order to hit something, instead of an RNG determining if a hit occurs.

    Another great aspect of Global Agenda is the fact that it's PvP centered, so no PvE balancing ruining stuff. Plus, every match matters. You're actually fighting for control, assets, resources, factories, which can be used to produce new equipment. Much greater sense of accomplishment when you secure the factory you need to produce new guns for your entire agency, than just winning +6 points to your rating.

    Also, the community is great, as can be clearly seen on the official forums, and the developers take an active part as well. And it's privately funded, so no publisher pushing for early release, before the game is ready.

    And it looks so damn smooth already, even though it's still in closed alpha!
