Making requeriments for one Guild and BG addon

Starting with the process

Hi, im a sw depeloper that wanna build one addon to help to make more for the BG game playing in wow.

Today BG's there are chaotic scenaries.  Anyone figth with anyone, and the role in the game can be confused.  My effort is to reach the best way to make one clean war, based in the strategy (such lord of the rings battles, very nice).

First i need know the basics for the war, that is strategies. In the last months i was learn about military tactics, that can be used in the wow BG's.

I need more help, and open this channel to allow more ideas around.

Thanks a lot

Your post was hard to understand but I will give it a shot. I have been playing mmorpg's for 10+ years and of those 10 years I have centered my gameplay around pvp. Say for instance if you want to build a decent pvp system you need the terain to do it. So players can take advanyage of the terrain to fight. If you play in games that have flat terrain the pvp expierence is cut in half..you can see your oppent from far off and their is no strategy to it. It becomes boring and grinding.

You need objectives to get people involved as a group. As we all have seen in World Of Warcraft Arena content was successful at first but then soon gets old because of the same thing over and over. Repetion kills the pvp expierence. When you take out strategy, terrain, objectives and awards it is a time bomb waiting to happen.

I think the ultimate pvp expierence would be warfare. Where you can manipulate objects like say for an example you could have moving siege towers, moving balistia's and ect. Having castles or forts to siege. You would also want mounted and unmounted combat. You want some real pvp gameplay implement air combat aswell. Above all else have plenty of terrain to do it in like I said before. For example dwarfs they live in the mountains so have it where you need to fight withn caves and tunnels. Alterac Valley say for an example has some excellent terrain and choke points. If anything I wish the teraain was steeper in spots.

Above all else make the rewards attainable but not so easy where it can be done in a few days. I think Blizzard failed extremely where they gave arena awards priority over battleground rewards. The BG's has been where it was always at. If they didn't leave the battleground content in they would be in big trouble now.

Most of what I learned for the battlegrounds came from playing battlefield 1942 and seeing the tactics on a small 5 man team scale.  When everyone cooperates and does exactly what they need to do when it needs to be done things will go well.  The most important thing is a single cohesive team that will work together no matter what win or loose, once everyone bonds together the most important things they will need is a form of communication (Ventrilo) and a way to monitor what is happening elsewhere in the battleground (some sort of map that shows the location of all players -- carbonite does have a feature much like this)  Beyond that a way to create a strategy outside of the battleground is important.

As for the basics for the battlegrounds. . . well that depends much on each team as well as which battleground that is going to be played.

CTF Capture The Flag or Warsong Gulch requires attackers and defenders, the defenders keep a teams flag at their base and the attackers attempt to retrieve the flag from the other team and return to your base.  Most teams successful teams attempt to keep at least two members on defense five attackers and three floats who will either help to defend or attack though they may also be used to tie up the other team as much as possible.

HTB -- Hold The Base or Arathi Basin requires bases to be held for as long as possible to gain resources (points) and the team reaching the goal first wins.  Of the winning teams I have played on the ones who were most successful would capture as many bases as possible and then leave two people at each base.  Once at least three bases are held and six people were at bases the remaining nine people would form a mob and zerg the rest of the bases keeping the other team jumping to keep bases held.  While your team is attacking the other bases they will not worry too much about loosing one base as they are gaining at least one more at the same time.  The other team will attempt to leave more people at a base they have gained in an attempt to hold their bases.  This will leave less to attack yours and your team will still overrun the other bases with superior numbers.

TDM -- Team Death Match or Alterac Valley is setup for simple play a defending team and an attacking team.  The best point for defense is a a choke point with a couple players tieing up the group and a ton of AOE to kill them off.  This can best be achieved with some plate wearers to act as bait with the group coming in to attack them a mage jumping in to freeze the attackers in place and a group using their AOE spells and attacks to kill off the group.  The attacking part of your team will generally go against a defense like this, their best way to get past this defense is to zerg in waves.  They can also attempt to have someone stealth in behind and capture an objective to break up the defending team.  During the battle the attackers will also attempt to destroy towers and capture graveyards.  The attacking team will want to keep a couple of people at their graveyard closest to their current attack position.

Hybrid CTF + HTB  or Eye of the Storm  The objective here is to hold as many bases as possible while also capturing the flag.  A couple of people should defend the bases held with a base zerg team and a capture team.  Grab the flag and capture by returning to a base you currently hold.

Attack and defend or Strand of the Ancients  This by far can be considered the most even battleground in WoW Each team attacks and defends the objective at different times.  The defending team has to hold out for a certain amount of time and the attackers are trying to reach the objective as quickly as possible.  The roles are the switched and the defenders have to outlast the attackers to win.  The best strategy as defenders is to bog the attackers down on the beach, split up equally and tear them apart.  The attackers should group together grab the siege engines as quickly as possible and storm one set of gates together.
