Thoughts of a Hopeless Gamer

power leveling yay or nay?

I have recently been tempted to pay someone to level a char for me, as it would be my 6th 70 the grind outside of northrend is not appealing at all.

After doing a good amount of research (based on $ instead of time) i have found that: (american prices through paypal)
(below 60) you would be paying 1$ / lvl on average.
(60-70) approx. 23.99$
(70+) 12$/lvl

when you compare this to the earnings of min. wage (8.75 /hr CAN) / (approx 7.1 /hr US) you notice that the time you would be playing is FAR less than the time you would spend at work eg 1hr of work could get you 7 lvls compared to 1hr of play which could get you 7 bars :P

this is just my two cents as wow is increasingly growing pwr lvling will never go away so whats your opinon yay or nay?

while the idea of repetitive grind for 3rd, 4th and so on toons really sucks,

powerleveling is too risky imho... sharing the account is "no-no"...

better use powerleveling guides like team iDemise offers or any over - to pick up the region and spells that do give you fastest XP income...

No, not 100% trusted.  In order to use a power levelling service, you need to share your account.  Sharing your account is against the TOS/EULA, and, as istrain already stated, will get your account suspended/banned.  Not to mention that your account will no longer be secure, they can sell all of your stuff, take your money, and use your character/account for gold spam in-game (which would also get your account banned).

In short, never ever use a power levelling service or buy gold.  It risks your account and hurts the server you play on.

    No, it is not safe.

A personal friend of mine not only had his account suspended when he was found to be using a power leveling service but the service did not level his character to 70 as he paid for. They also sold off all the gear on his other toons and relieved him of all his gold before leaving him high and dry.

Don't forget, you will actually have to give the power level service complete access to your account. Not the best idea.

.... HMMM maybe its just me, but lvling to me is part of an rpg, cause not only does it come with pride but with the experience and knowledge that comes with knowing that character backwards and forwards... maybe if you find that part of the game that boring, find a different game that isnt boring.....

I'm gonna go back to playing on ungrim now, peace

    *woosh*
