Ideas for pbInfo?

Hi there!

As of pbInfo is quite successful on curse, I'd like to know what features you want to have integrated. :D

The only rule: It has to be something related to "information". So no HealBot or BottomArt. :)

Be sure I read every single post, but answering to each is quite impossible!

This article is for idea gathering only, so I'll not discuss if I integrate a feature or why not.

Waiting for your input! :)

Regards,
p.b.

Nice addon you made.. But can still be better, to me.

Could you add an option to show only online players in friendlist.. ?

And more options for friendlist if it's not too hard & long.

    Thanks.

First of all, thanks a lot for this great addon.

One thing that would really fit into what pbInfo does is what the addon StatRating is for.

StatRating is being discontinued and merging it with pbInfo not only makes sense but could also remove a bug. As I am not that experienced in RoM I do not know if this is true: someone complained that StatRating has a bug when calculating what strength results in.

Quest tracker seems to get in the way no matter where I put it and I only need minimal information from it so I would like the option to be able to click through any of the pbinfo elements.

statistical information like: number of deaths, total damage taken/done, how many times you used a skill, crits, potted, things like that. stuff that only the individual would care about. maybe toss in a listening command so others can probe your info. ie, [guild][eledemar] !pbinfo, person, totaldeaths, and you would send a message to that person "I have died 10291029 times!"

Guild related stuff is quite impossible for me as of I'm not in a guild and don't plan to join one, soon. Features from other AddOns won't e copied by me unless the author stopped working on it.

Thanks for the input so far. :

Could you integrate like... IDK, the yGather data, to not need two addons, It would be great to show all the gathering spots on minimaps or world map, idk, just a brainstorm... =/

On hover over player: Guild info of player

Player tag: Have an option to make a note of targeted player so you can keep track of people that stick out. I hate buffing people that have screwed me over previously, haha.

No idea if these can be implemented or how easily, but I'd sure love the options.

I don't know if you are still taking ideas but here is mine:

I would like to see something with guild managing like viewing total donations from members in the guild, and stuff like that

    P.S. Amazing Add-on so far :)

I have thought of a useful feature in the last few weeks.  It seems that there is an issue that some people are experiencing that causes some people to have a guild member logged on/off message and other people do not have it.

Would there be a way to get pbinfo to capture that event and send it to the chat log? if so, that would be very handy, ty for your time.

Hi this mod GREAT, but if you can little change in this addon, is When you over mouse to gather you see info about gathering and what you can make from this gather but its not calculate like this Example: if i gather 2 Ash Wood is calculate and show me 1 Ash Timber, when i gather 12 Ash Wood i see (12 Ash Wood, 6 Ash Timber, 1 Ash Lumber) like this is verry helped for people who gathering, please if you can make this. sorry if you not understand me, i learned english from games :)

Oh hey btw I forgot, you rock man! hands down one of the best addons in RoM, Im surprised you havent merged with other authors to make the ultimate addon for RoM, now that would be killer! Great work as always and very appreciated to say the least!

another idea, what about a way for tooltips that already shows what you have harvested, but a option to include how much your guild needs of that particular resource?

I also wonder how much simpler can you make the quest log to track down not only the npcs from which quests are picked up and turned in, but a way to click that particular quest in the log and have a auto-mapmarker set up to find the particular place to get quest items, which would also place a marker on the character much like the one in world search? Afterwards when the quest is complete, the auto-marker system is then deleted or could point back to the NPC where ya need to turn it in, then afterwards it clears and you click a quest to start again. Would seem a bit easier than having to open up 3 different applications to track one quest down! I sorta hate how thats set up in RoM myself. But anyway just a idea.

Yes, I have mentioned this before but seems its not been implemented yet, or if it will ever be. The idea is simple and Im sure it would take much more coding or scripting to make it happen.

The quest log is great, one of the best Ive seen and very functional! But the only problem I have with it at this time is it defaults to being located on the left side of the screen and no option to make it "flip" proportionally to the right side of the screen! When i try to place it on the right side, everything is jumbled and only optimize for ease of reading on the left hand side of screen! If there is anyway to take the log and have it auto-flip to read correctly on the right side of the screen, you have now added a bigger option for it for those who choose to have their quest logs shown on the right hand side!

Maybe a way to find the center of the screen, add in some coding so that when the log is dragged to the left hand side it fits for ease of reading, then when dragged to the right side it flips to make ease of reading on the right hand side.

I hope this can be something that can be added as I still have to go through the lines of the XML file and change whats TOP/BOTTOM LEFT to TOP/BOTTOM RIGHT to make it fit somewhat and readable. Still isnt quite right but better than I did have it, only thing is I cant seem to place the numbers/levels of the quest to fit up against the right side of the screen. example [25] stay out to the left hand side instead of being up against the right hand side of screen. I little irritating but better than what it was before where the default only allowed it to be readable on the left hand side of the screen.

Thank you, and hopefully you can get this feature in sometime soon, would be great!

    Oh I forgot some things

    What about the Housing boni?

Guild information gathering? Like activity, donations?

and a funny idea: pbinfonetwork. Sending the priest in the group the "you will get aggro warning" since he can't focus on the mob. Ok forget it ^-^

I also would like pbinfo to focus a little on the chatwindow. Not only the time in chat is nice, sending TP/EP info to combat log would keep the chat slim and fit. (ok SBM or Streamline do that but sl code is somewhat jumpy, producing errors in combination with other addons).

And all Crafter out there would thank you if you could cut out the recieved xxx wood ore or whatever line which spams on que ever 5 (!)seconds - especially while processing the goods. If you got 4+ stacks you loose track on every conversation.

Maybe migration from the database droplogger is trying to build, so you can search for your desired items?

Since I use qunitframes and the guy says: pbinfo compatible I was wondering if you 2 stick your heads together sometimes?

A well thought spamfilter which actually works? (the 2 addons out there aren't that well made).

Bin gegen die Neuerfindung des Rades, aber wenn das Rad ständig nen Platten hat, dann wär es einfacher das Rad zu wechseln. :)

Btw. Great work so far. Fast releases, fast updates and a stable code. Something some coder out there miss a lot.

I'd like to use Threat Meter as focus window... to select players in party. Also to see it update even if i don't have target selected. In other words to be more priest-friendy :P

    Other then that great work!

Mine is not really a new feature request and is only meaningful if there is a benefit to be had from integrating functionality from multiple addons. (e.g. does CPU load increase or does frame rate go down as more addons are enabled?)

The "core" addons that I find indispensable are:

    pbInfo + AntiSpam + LootFilter + Streamline + RoMail

Is there anything to be gained from integrating some of that functionality into pbInfo?

I would like to see a change log...

The Mining tooltip works and tells me the current level of mining and % I am (out of 100) to next level. It also tells me what skill level is needed to mine the certain ore I am mousing over.

The Wood cutting and Herbing on the other hand don't...

    Options for upgrade:

    -Loot table

-Item descriptions ("needed for quest {so and so}"

I'll add a  few more after thinking about it some more.
