The CEO of NVIDIA, Jen-Hsun Huang seem to be quite anti-Intel lately. During the last NVIDIA conference call with analysts there were discussions about the fact that Intel is increasing their focus on graphics with their next-gen Nehalem CPU architecture later this year.
Intel has stated that the days of GPU's are numbered. NVIDIA counters this with their own statements, presentating 900 GTX and 900 GX 2 and points out that GPU's play a larger role in game performance than the CPU does. Also, earlier this week NVIDIA launched a tool called PC Configurator, which tells you that all you need for a good GPU is a Core 2 Duo E4500.
