Oh dear.

Here we go again.

I've always had trouble sticking to a class, ever since I've started WoW. I've only ever had one 70, and even that was passed on to me by someone else.

After losing that account last summer, I have decided this summer I would try again. So I bought a new gamekey, and made a new account. Sweet? No. I still have no darn idea what class I'm levelling.

A friend was starting again with me.

Okay, so I started a few days ago with an Orc Warrior. I got it to level 9(wow..), and decided I didn't like it and rerolled Tauren Warrior. Got that to level 13(wow..), and then because my friend had to work while I didn't, and we were levelling together. So I decided to make an alt, a blood elf mage.

The mage ended up at an entire 2 levels, before I decided to try something else. So I settled on a rogue. I started off as an undead, got it to level 4, then decided I didn't like the Eviscrate animation - so I rerolled blood elf female Rogue. The stealth animation is the best, in my opinion - but I soon got bored of that and went back to my undead rogue. It's growing on me. Until today, I was levelling that rogue. It was 11.

Then this morning I decided to try a blood elf priest. II got it to level 9 and then got fed up with being unable to mash mobs my own level without expending all mana and having to heal myself.

So I rolled an undead warlock. Going grreeatt, really enjoying it. All of a sudden, at level 7, I want my rogue back because I miss stealth. Log back onto my rogue, do a few quests, and now here I am. Almost 12 but bored of it again.

I'm thinking I'll enjoy the warlock when I get a void and can cast without being constantly interuptted...butttt you know. Keep putting it off.

Le sigh.

Phew - that about sums up the last 3 days or so.

Maybe I can help you out.

    Boring classes:
    Warrior, Druid
These two classes will BORE you to death assuredly. Once you get past the cool factor of the Charge ability as a Warrior things are abismal. And once you get past the newness of animal forms as a druid the gameplay itself is silly. Both of these classes are very cool at 70, but leveling them there is a chore, and doing so as your first character is a bad idea.

    Learning Curve Classes:
    Priest, Paladin
Priest is impossible to kill later in the game once you have all of the tools (gets good around 30 for holy/disc and around 40 for shadow priests). Paladin is arguably the best tank end game, as well as the best signle target healer end game, terrible at DPS which is why leveling it is a pain in the ass, because even when you're doing the "fun" side of the class it's still not up to par.

Classes you should try starting with:
Hunter - Number one because it's simply fun and interesting to play, each level you are excited to see what you can do next. And being able to name and pick which pet you want is just funtastic. It's a great solo class because you have a mini-tank to help you out.
Rogue - Again the fun factor is here and it also makes the game easy same as hunter though not quite AS easy. Being able to stealth around is simply great. And once you get to the technical side of the game and realize you can kill just about any other class in the game once you learn to stun lock them, then it;sthat much better. Granted players like me will hate you just for being a rogue because we think you're cheap, haha.
Mage - Is hard at first, but fun. Fun because of the unique skills you get such as Frost Nova.
Warlock - Easy mode and interesting to see your summoned demons progress as you go from imp to voidwalker and so forth. And from a technical stand point you'll do some of the highest damage in the game at high end.
Shaman - Fun because of your totem system, but soon you'll find that each of it's three talent trees have a distinct play style to them. Ranging from a pure healer, a pure melee to a pure caster. It's unique in this way because as you can change any class between their three trees, this one actually completely changes the play style, much like a druid tree.

At the end of the day every class is going to seem drab until you hit level 20 at least, so you're just going to have to force yourself to get to at least that point before you decide to give up on a class.
