I honestly can't see why people use macs. I've had to use macs all of my life at school, work, etc, and they're junk. Windows is a much greater operating system in pretty much every way. The only arguments macs have going for them is that they look pretty and they don't get viruses. Personally, I prefer the look of a PC over a mac. I'm not a big fan of the whole 'glossy and fragile' look. I prefer a metal/plastic tower, preferably with a few well placed LEDs, or a nice window in the side.

The windows OS also dominates macs in terms of flexibility, windows has more software, is easier to develop for, and is simply a lot more flexible. Not to mention the fact that you can actually upgrade PCs without buying a whole new one, unlike most macs. I'd rather spend a few hundred on more ram, or a new graphics card here and there than have to blow $1000+ on a new mac every time it gets 'old'.

As far as viruses go, it's pretty hard to get a virus for windows if you're careful. If you're going to questionable websites and downloading every .exe you can find, you're asking for a virus. Even so, if you're only using a mac because you're afraid of viruses, why not go all the way and get linux? Linux has even less viruses, more software, is more powerful, and is FREE. I really can't see a valid reason for buying a mac.
