So after loading up some more addons someone suggested, I start the first night of the test - running Curse Client as a regular user.

Tonight finds me with 2 / 18 addons to update.  I prefer double clicking to update them.  Took about 30-45s.

    My experiment

After the slew of posts regarding Curse 'forcing' users to pay to use the client, I've decided to do a little experiment, and terminate my own Premium access, forcing me to use the same free client that most of the users will be.  Each night when I actually get to play, I'm going to use the Curse Client to update my addons, and post how many I updated, how long it took, etc.

One problem - I'm not currently running as many addons as some users, so I'll need to fix that.  I'm currently playing a 68 DK, levelling up and working on Mining and Jewelcrafting.  I also occasionally play a low level Paladin with my wife.  Here's what I'm running already:

    • Archerus Runes
    • Aucitoneer
    • Curse Profiler
    • G15 Buttons
    • Gatherer
    • QuestHelper
    • Recount
    • SellJunk
    • TrinketMenu
    • ZOMGBuffs

I want to get the number of installed addons up a bit, but thought I'd get some community input so its more representative of what you guys run.  If you have any suggestions for this experiment, leave a comment.
