Based on
recent financials posted by Activation for the first quarter it looks like
the release date for Starcraft II and Singularity have been pushed back. CEO
Bobby Kotick made the announcement that the games will not release until 2010.
During the announcement had this say:
"As we prepare for next year, we have moved the expected release dates for
two games, Activision Publishing's Singularity and Blizzard Entertainment's
StarCraft II, into 2010," he said.
Activision netted $1.04 billion in revenues for its second fiscal quarter,
edging just past its $1 billion estimate. 2010 is predicated to be another
blockbuster year for Activision/Blizzard as Starcraft 2 has
been predicted
to sell as many as 4 million units in its opening quarter.
