The GeForce M series and GeForce Go series notebook GPUs use drivers that have been customized by the notebook manufacturers to support hot key functions, power management functions, lid close and suspend/resume behavior. NVIDIA has worked with some notebook manufacturers to provide notebook-specific driver updates, however, most notebook driver updates must come from the notebook manufacturer. Additionally, the desktop GeForce graphics drivers will not install on Geforce M series and Quadro M series notebook GPU's.

I will re0visit the laptopvideo2go site again, i did it when i forst read your post but i ran into problems, i dont remember what.

Thank you for confirming that fullscreen i better than windowed mode. i will go back to fullscreen. i will note though that i have alot more problems running in fullscreen? is it because windowed mode runs off of the basic video settings? and fullscreen is 100% hardware (video card)?

also, when i run Dxdiag and get some info on my display this is what i get:

--The file nvd3dum.dll is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.--

i am running a Nvidia GeForce Go 7300 (integrated ramdac), DirectX v.9Ex, and a generic PnP display. which doesnt make sense....or does it? its the laptops regular screen.

for anyone that may have had the same issues and have a good idea as to what may be missing here i have the saved DxDiag.xml file for review. i will post new info regarding the video driver ASAP.

Always.
Second: follow what I posted below. This newer driver is better for sure than your old one.
Third: Computer assemly companies never really provide up to date drivers, go to nvidia directly or, as mentioned, to laptopvideo2go to get the most current drivers.

FileFront and other patching servers have the files that will move you much faster instead doing each incremental patch.

did this help, i have a nvidia card in my laptop in a new dell inspiron 6400 (about 1.5 years old) . used only for warcraft).

at time i can cruise along at 11 fps which is workable, sucks but workable).

i have to run the game with a video enhancements lowered or more times than not disabled. i also run in windowed mode. ive DL'd the right driver ( i know its the drive becuase eveyone once in awhile it will freeze nad say it was because of the video card driver.

i get major problems when patches are DL'd. and i have to uninstall all my add-ons.

make a long story short, i went to the dell driver site for my card, which i dont remember what it is now, it doesnt list my driver anymore. so i write Dell and they send me a link. i delete some cache stuff. old driver files and instal the new one (which is actually the one that came with game and for the first log in i can see visuals ive never seen befor, cruising at a nice 90 fps. then it go back within 5 minutes. im tired of this.

anyone have any solid ideas or anyone that is in tech repair that can really spend a bit of time to give me a hand? i really need help.

Enter the 180's series subforum. Look for a suitable driver (Vista 32 bit I guess).
Download the driver and the corresponding .inf file.
Extract the driver files and copy the .inf file into this directory.
Install the driver and reboot.
Should work fine then.

Another thing to note- it is always a good idea to uninstall your old nvidia driver, and then reboot, before installing a newer version. This file stores ur settings for Wow, also the values for graphic settings. When u delete it, the program would start with the standard settings. This procedure has no side effect for ur addons.
Maybe u can use than the latest driver for ur nVidia card.

I posted a list of addons on post asking if anyone had suggestion. I use quite a few addons myself but you may only want to use a few of them. I've been playing for over a year now and I consistently test new and highly rated mods that show up.

Bagnon: It pulls all your bags together in to a single bag screen. Does the same for the bank. Configurable color/transparency and columns are highlights besides the one bag feature.

Dominos: Action bar replacement. You get rid of the old action bars and replace it with new moveable bars. Bars can be hidden if you do not need them.

RedRange: Works with Dominos to show if you are out of range to cast a spell/attack. Colors the button red. Very simple and light. Nothing to configure. Just enable and play.

MikScrollingBattleText: No need to look at the terrible WoW made battle text popping up above mobs and your head. This mod splits damage you recieve and damage your enemy recieves on the left and right side. It's configurable with the font, color and numerous other features.

Outfitter: If you have an item you wear in a paticular zone, just tell this mod when you want to wear that item and it will switch it out for you whenever you enter a zone. Same goes for riding, flying, swimming, fishing, drinking and anything else you can think of.

Prat 3.0: A new way to view chat. Shortened channel names (ie. Guild is now ), colored by class toon names, level next to a toon name and tons of other little features.

WIM: also known as WoW Instant Messenger. It's like combining AIM with WoW. When you get a whisper from someone it automatically pulls it from the chat and drops it in to a chat box. If you're in combat, the WIM icon on the Mini-map will blink until you open up your recieved message. It will not intrude on your combat with a box suddenly showing up out of nowhere.

ZOMGBuffs: Auto notification that you or party/raid member has a buff running out that you cast. Roll your mouse wheel and it casts it for you without touching your action bar. Can also auto-buy reagents at a vendor if you want it to. The mouse wheel auto-cast can be turned off if you don't like it.

Oh man, I woke up and started the third massive download this morning and it took about 9 hours or so to complete!

Quest helper gives you a nice arrow pointing you in the direction to complete your quests. Its nice but it will need Cartographer to work properly. SellFish is another nice one it lets you know the sell value of the stuff you have. Sell-O-Matic let you auto sell all your grey items with a push of a button. If you are going to play with the auction house at all you are going to want Auctioneer. Lastly my personal favorite RatingBuster lets you see a numerical value of your equipments to let compare which is best.

If you want to try out a Death Knight, you will need to have an existing 55+ toon on that server.
