But no seriously. I predict that this will be one of many changes that will sweep the priestly landscape. Not only will they give all priests fear ward, they will give all priests devouring plague, stone form, desperate prayer, star shards, grace of elune, etc just to make ALL priests one and the same.

Wouldn't that be one heck of a bite to chew one, eh?

I think if all the racials were made into standard abilities, the Priest community would eat itself.

This man speaks the truth. Stone Form is the Dwarf racial ability and on a priest it is fairly unbalanced.

I'm not convinced. Looking at what it would take to make such changes it would cost Blizzard to much to do such a thing. I think we are more likely to see Fear Ward made a class ability (as in spell) or that it replaces all racials.

The elimination of Priest racials is too extreme. According to WarcraftRealms, there are 81,628 Undead Priests in the EU and US realms. %57 of the Horde Priest population. Don't you think that many people would be a little pissed to find that they no longer have one of the best PvP spells? I think that the 25,821 Dwarf and 44,324 Human Priest players would be shocked to see they are missing Desperate Prayer.

To be fair, that's actually a somewhat balanced percentage when you consider the fact that prior to the expansion, Undead was one of two options for the Priest class if you were playing Horde.

Now, I'd be more curious to see how many Blood Elves there are compared to Trolls since the expansion.

I was wrong. I had missed an option when I was looking at WarcraftRealms. I had "PVP Servers Only" set. Oh well. Th fact still stands.

And there are...453,542 more BElf's then Trolls in EU+US.

Maybe I should start packing +arcane cloth gear for my dwarf priest... I guess I could do some nice starshard if racial become common to everybody :-P

If the racials become available for everyone. What is the meaning of choosing a race then? Just delete every race from game and keep one race for horde and one for alliance.. would be much simplier, right Blizzard? :)
