In fact, he went as far to say that he is, "100% sure." The character models are the same, the UI elements

Tabula Rasa fingered for Auto Assault code

Huh? In effect, what RGTR has been accused of is using source code from a now-defuinct title in order to accomplish certain tasks within the game. Defunct simply means to be no longer in effect or use and considering that Auto Assault is no longer officially in effect or use, it is very much a defunct title.

Tabula Rasa fingered for Auto Assault code

Soo recycling code between game of the same compagny should be a shame? I don't write it... " Firstly, I personally see this as a pointelss accusation made by someone who fails to understand the dynamics of creating a game and I fail to see how this could have any negligible effect on the game itself. While I personally found Auto assault to be a terrible game, Tabula Rasa is one of the more inovative titles of recent years.

Tabula Rasa fingered for Auto Assault code

I personally find Tabula Rasa to be a fun game, but I also have a feeling it's going to appeal to a somewhat niche market similar to City of Heroes.

That's not to knock the game - it was fairly enjoyable to me - so I'm going to be playing it at release. I suppose one of the things I like about the game is the refreshing change from fantasy to sci-fi.

He has hyped the ORIGINALITY of this out-of-the-box gaming experience. Here's a quote from some years back from the very fanboi Escapist magazine about Origin Systems ...."Richard Garriott made it a point of pride to start each new Ultima entirely from scratch, with not a line of code carried over from earlier games. Even the map editors and other tools were coded anew."

Tabula Rasa fingered for Auto Assault code

I also felt there were many similarities between AA beta and TR beta. The action, the chars, etc.. are all similar. Both games ran very slow on my PC even on low settings.
I got the feeling that both betas were still far from being ready for release but NCsoft released them anyway.
It's like NCsoft never learns from mistakes.
