Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

CE Headstart Begins!

As of 12:01 EDT the Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Collector's Edition Headstart is officially underway! Tens of thousands of eager players are now hitting the servers as Mythic Entertainment passes a milestone from beta to their special pre-release headstart phase for pre-order customers.

With that in mind, we'd like to remind you that we've worked over the past year or so (and longer in some cases) across the entire Curse Network to ensure we've deployed the proper community support to help guide players through their adventures in Warhammer Online. For those of you that may have missed our news a few days ago, we'd like to once again remind everyone that much the same as World of Warcraft does. Here's a quick recap of all of the Warhammer Online services you'll find across the Curse Network as you prepare to dive into the game for the first time!

  • Curse Client -- Allows easy management of your game AddOns (currently both World of Warcraft and Warhammer Online are supported), as well as the ability to upload gameplay data (quests, items, NPCs, etc.) to WarDB.com.
  • Warhammer Online AddOns -- Change the way your User Interface looks with ease! Warhammer Online allows installation of LUA AddOns, and we've provided full support for them on Curse.com
  • WarDB.com -- A comprehensive Warhammer Online database offering a plethora of tools for your out-of-game planning, including a Career Builder, Renown Builder, Battlefield Maps, and much more.
  • Warhammer Alliance -- The largest Warhammer Online discussion community in the world, featuring discussion forums frequented by developers and players alike, unique content, and much more with a dedicated staff of moderators and administrators.
  • TheWarWiki -- A wiki created by the Warhammer Alliance team, and contributed to by the community of players who make Warhammer Online their gaming home.

We'll continue to provide any support necessary to ensure a successful and enjoyable experience for anyone who decides to step foot into the Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning world, and we look forward to any feedback or suggestions the community has to improve our services!

this headstart is bad! waiting 2 hours to get in a server isnt something i would have think of eamythic. It took me 1 hours to get in, i just crashed, and now to get back in i have to wait 2 hours 15 mins(approximativly). Yeah there are other server, most of them are still in high without queue, but hell i want to get with my friend and guild member.

Hmmm... I have a buddy that got in fine. I've heard mainly good news/reports so far. Read these comments with caution as perhaps we have some angsty wow devs making fake posts? j/k =P

I was in Open Beta and after the last patch or two a couple of days ago things have been VERY smooth. I am looking forward to jumping into the game on Tuesday myself as a regular edition pre-order customer.

For the time being Mythic will be throttling server caps to ensure 'even population spread' across servers (http://warherald.warhammeronline.com/warherald/NewsArticle.war?id=269), so if you REALLY want to get to that specific server, that's your choice, be prepared to queue if it's full.

In my experience with WAR (Since CE Closed Beta) the longest I have waited for was 5 minutes, but remember that it all depends on people logging out, and I don't expect many people to log out during the first day of headstart.

Actually can't imagine CE headstart to have queue issues, since there won't be much more people than during Open Beta (Only the people that didn't want to join Open Beta, since CE guaranteed OB access afaik), and we have extra servers.

Currently really questioning the validity of your statements, unless you're on the EU servers, for which I cannot comment (No experience with EU servers) and you should disregard everything I've said (And then it's GOA, not Mythic). I'm speaking from US/Oceanic experience.

Warhammer Online is awesome... played about 10 hours of my bright wizard today and I can tell ya Blizzard can start to fear Mythic. A lot.

And to say it's just beggining..

With years of polishing, this game can get really, really far, and have many expantions. Ohh yeah baby.

I have pre-ordered the CE and was looking forward to playing on sunday but alas no such luck .
Apparently the headstart codes that were handed out by my local EBGames (which is all they got by the way i checked ) seem to be for SE.
so it appears that Australian CE Headstart is only as good as American SE headstart .
    Downgraded Downunder.

    Hi Themadscot,

Your information is very much incorrect, I also have pre-ordred CE within Australia and I made my first 3 characters on Sunday 3 minutes after WarHammer went live. I have other fellow guild members, who were able to get on the CE Headstart.

Maybe your local EBGames store sold you SE codes instead of the CE codes..
