I for one would rather like to hear from someone who actually managed to get registered. wasnt around for DAOC but how can GOA butcher a launch twice?

I've gotten registered (with 2 accounts) today with the new system. However, the patcher doesnt patch so I still have some hurdles.

Back in the DAoC days, my friends and I played on the US servers and it went pretty well. This time we decided to play on EU servers and that means GOA... at least for now.

Terrible state of affairs tbh, i managed to log my key at 16.45 this afternoon and i'am still waiting for the e-mail and its 20.55 now this after they said 1 or 2 hours for it to come through, thats on top of trying from 08.30 yesterday (sunday).

I can understand the teething problems, thats the whole point of the beta process, to find these problems and solve them before the game goes to retail release, hopefully they are learning from these issues and will have a better more robust system in place for the full launch.

I will admit to being a bit peeved that I the the beta code I entered yesterday is still not activated, but thats the way things go, its a live test of their full system, in about 10 days time there are going to be a lot more people trying to get into the game all at once on launch day, so they need to iron out as many bugs and flaws now as they can.

Agreed with kabukken.
The worst fail was that "fresh account creation" post for already registered users. This was so unprofessional, just lame. No excuse at all, plain communicative mistake.

There is no reason for nerd rage or insults, it's just one guy who failed other guy, who gave him money for certain item. The guy will think twice before dealing with him again.

what money, its still in beta testing, until the game goes to full release, they are under no obligation to guarantee anything, the whole purpose of beta testing is to find these sorts of problems in the first place, and then fix them...
