Just imagine blizzard posting smth like: "DK will have only 1 talent tree and we will release 2 dungeouns out of 12, but htey are so cool, youre gonna like 'em". This is just stupid, I wanted to join WAR as an orc choppa to raid eight peaks and smash stunties. And I dont like and I'm not interested in playing chaos VS empire content. So with cutting the carrier and the city, there is no reason left for me to buy this game. So I won't. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. GG Mythic :P

Removed Careers FAQ

Gregson, Seriously. Look at it from a business stand point. Mystic HAS to release WAR before WotLK comes out or it will hurt there overall business and profit.

And secondly, I agree with Oopomopoo. Condencing it down gives them more expanion materials and helps them keep the small starting population in one area.

Lastly, they will be adding in the last couple of cities and battlefronts. and NO you are not confind to one area. You can travel back and forth. Meaning, you are not pressured into one battle or another. Sadly, if you are upset about having to fight like this grats on playing WoW :P

Removed Careers FAQ

Seriously, i think this isnt such a bad idea. The idea of concentrating the launch groups into one area is not a bad one. Keeping them together is, in my opinion, a plus, as we'll all be learning the game together. it'll push us together, help us form alliances we might not otherwise gain. Besides, are we going to be at population cap at launch on every server? I shouldnt think so. After a while, I am sure the content will be there. We just have to wait for it. And 10 classes per side? I'd say that's not so bad either. Let 'em balance and polish those 20 classes. We can use the time spent in chaos vs Empire content, and make it worthwhile. Like they keep saying, they want us to operate together, they want us to group up, they want us to guild up. Make use of the closeness, and branch out to the other cities/classes when they are available. I doubt they'll keep it as is for longer than they need to. Give them credit, making an mmo isn't exactly a walk in the park.

Removed Careers FAQ

Many, many MMOs are released with promised content conspicuously missing. SWG didn't include player cities, mounts and vehicles at launch. I'm pretty sure what will happen, since these classes are pretty much done already (along with the capital cities that were axed), is that they'll be release a few months after launch. It's just a simple matter of retooling them. They won't be missed, since that content doesn't really affect gameplay much at all during that period (except for power levelers)

Removed Careers FAQ

Interesting article.

Removed Careers FAQ

I am much more disappointed by the loss of these classes then the lose of the cities. That said 20 classes will be more then enough to keep me busy. Also I'm sure looking at the content that was added to DAoC since its launch that there will be plenty to look forward too. As far as cities go 2 instead of 6 has an advantage because with 6 capital cities there was no reason for you ever to venture to one of the other realms on your side. If you did you'd be abandoning your people. Now you need to control two zones to get access to the city which means every zone is equally important. I've seen video of the fortresses they are pretty massive themselves and are going to be really fun to siege.

As far as the people who think WotLK is a threat to this game because of its "release date." Remember we are talking about blizzard. I cannot think of one game that was released on time because they don't release crap. If this is their first game released on time it means they aren't doing anything new and they threw it together. 5BGs and Arena(The single best part of WoW) are fun but will not hold a pvpers attention once this game is released. In fact i know DAoC players that tried wow and went back for that reason.

I personally never played DAoC and play WoW daily with 4 70's before you say I'm being biased.
