Karazhan without Priests

We just did Karazhan yesterday with my guild´s third raid with no priest at all (9th week of this raid). Me (Pally) and a shaman were healing, and a feral druid for those few times were we think we need three (Aran, Prince, Illhoof). Cleared all (except animal boss) in ~ 5 hours. Equip level is Karazhan or less - group setup is (sorted by equip level): Warrior Tank, Warlock, Rogue, 2 Feral Druids, Shaman, 2 Mages, Pally, Hunter (Twink).

Actually we find eg Moroes easier without Shackle than with a bad one. Decursing Magic debuffs is a pain for me for sure, but works well enough. Aran was a pain (4 tries), but everything else went quite smooth.

We've done Karazhan with as many as 3 Priests (2 Shadow), but as far as we have tried it doesn't really matter that much.. Added damage can outweigh a lack of healing easily.

We are not an "endgame raiding guild", my guild has done no more than Gruul and little poke at Void Reaver.

Did you do Nightbane as well? Thankfully I never had to heal on that fight (shadow spec atm) but heard it can be tough, people take 4 healers there although my guild does just fine with 3 nowadays.

Anyway, I prefer to have 2 priests in Karazhan - holy one for spirit buff and shadow (myself ;) ) for mana regen. 2 shackles are good too, but as you proved it - not necessery.

Interesting. I've never done the zone without a priest, but I imagine it shouldn't be too much harder as long as you have the proper healing to replace a holy priest.

Yes, we did Nightbane as well - one of the ferals was the third healer. Went smooth on first try. The added DPS is quite handy - what you lack in healer mana, you can (at least to some extent) make up with shorter fights. Besides, I used 18 Super Mana Potions yesterday, 10 Adept´s Elixier, and a lot of other (common) bufffood. Though I guess noone was using a flask.

Exact lineup was (all on EU-Alexstrasza): Blakharaz Asfaloth Marnuk Durinia Shadowpain Tyrunur Thufir Barnes Vilcabamba Keya (myself)
