    General Update

Well my new pc has arrived and is allowing me a much better look at Telon.

heh everything has detail, being able to run on balanced in busy areas and higher details otherwise is just amazing.

Now I need to get my screenshots loaded into Curse.

    In adventuring notes,

Gorat - been playing around and mostly harvesting for the guild. Doing some areas like Vrusog Moor, Afrit and Tehatanami Harbour. But need to look for a group more to be more successful with this character. Have maxed out his quarrying skill and only 40 points from maxing out lumberjacking.

Lokar - not played much with this guy. with Dragoner we have had a couple of forays into Trengal Kepp, only been able to complete TK1 so far, so not going that well. Last session it was CTD hell, for nearly every fioght one of the group crashed out. Must be somthing to do with the merge.

Regart - have been focusing a fair bit on this guy and went from lvl 14 to 21 over a short amount of time. This is mainly due to the URT quests and he has headed out to Skriien Point to talk to the Huntersl League.

    Lokar invades Trengal Keep

Well now we are here at Trengal Keep we do a bit of scouting for the guy at the ruins and managed to find a key on one of the Orcs we run into.. Not very friendly here, but thats Gulgrethor for you apparently.

Looks like a pretty tough place in there, lots of Orcs, Goblins and Wolves hanging round the place. Not to mention the big flying things that Dragoner keeps looking longingly at. Think he wants a new pet.

Found after a nasty suprise that some of them can see us when we are invisible. This is just not fair.

After talking it over with Dragoner we decide we need more people. The good thing is that lots of people are here willing to help out. Well gain fame and glory really, thats why we are here.

Oh, right our new found "friends", a couple of people who kept singing stuff, didnt know any real gnomish songs so had to put up with some elvish rubbish. A sorcerer who was pretty handy to have, rained down a fair bit of desctruciton which is always nice. Also managed to pick up another guild friend to join in with us a cleric. Little bit pious but his spells helped out.

For a first meeting we did work well together, I think we were all a little daunted by the high walls and shadows within keep. As we all kept pretty close.

Well our group heads into the keep slaughtering all in its path. Going pretty well, when I see this guy on a unicorn riding past at great speed while he was invisible. Hmm strange but probably not the oddest thing I have ever seen.

After going up the road a bit we enter what appears to be a gate house, all burnt out in here. Dont Orcs ever repair anything??? Could be a nice spot.

Within one of the burnt out buildings (after clearing a few sleeping orcs) I find the notebook the coward in the tower left behind, I quickly pocket this before anyone can see it. Heh, should be able to get him to swap this for something nice later.

We continue into the keep, wow this place is huge, dont think we have seen much so far but its ceratianly packed with orcs and strange floating rocks. Ah these are the things the watch guy was on about.

Manage to pcik up some proff from the rock creatures to let him know we did complete what he wanted, so that should be good.

Pretty good evening in there really, we stayed until we had completed the watchmans mission then headed out to report to him.

Only really one incident of note, you remember the Unicorn guy? well while traveling down one of the passageways, we see him run past at great speed back towards the entrance. Odd I think, as I turn around and see this huge mob of Orcs running towards me chasing that guy. A little shocked here I freeze and get knocked out as a orc boot kicks me in the head.

Git, wish I had his name as I would hunt him down for that, I just hope the Orcs caught him.

Anyway, we all dispersed after reporting back, and promised to meet up again another time aftereveryone had rested.

Well should be interestng seeing if we can get further into Tregal next time.

(((ooc, would put screenshots in but everytime I take one it screws up my screen with dancing images. My new comp will hopefully arrive and can then start adding them)))

    Vanguard on a Wednesday

Well, didnt really get up to much. Logged on with Gorat and got into a duo with a Psionicist farming searing stones oiutside Raz Inkur. Was going pretty well with his mezzing and my nuking.

All really fell apart when we were invited into another duo of a Sorceror and Cleric both lvl 43.. After nearly 45 minutes of not actually doing anything apart from them advertising for a tank, I gave my excuses and left.

I logged Lokar in to do some harvesting. Would normally do a story for this but running around reaping and mining while trying to avoid a fight is hardly the stuff of legends.

All worked out well though, reaping is now 186 which allowed me to train for T3 and mining is 97 which allowed me to train for T2. Will soon be able to head to my favorite T2/T3 Harvest spot and concetrate there for a while until both are T4.

Oh on thing of note, found two noides of Mature Cotton (a rare), but only got 19, not enough to make one bale :( Fairly sure the game did this to me on purpose.

    Lokar heads to Trengal Keep

Headed back to Lakeview to meet up with Dragoner. He didnt seem to have notice I was gone as when I got back he was busy slaughering local wildlife.

He said he had a commission to complete but you can never be sure with these Dark Elves.

Anyway, we finished up our culling fo rthe River Turtles and headed back into the village. Here we had on of the Balcksmith needing someone to take a delivery to a watch tower to the north west by the coast.

Not having much else on at the moment we headed out that way. Can see why he didnt want to go himself now. Bandits on the road and the tower surrounded by ""HUGE"" spiders.

A pleasant enough guy but Dragoner was getting a little tense as he hadnt killed anything for a while. After talking to the tower guy for a bit (I really should have asked him his name) he asked if we could deliver some armour to a watchman near Trngal Keep, who he assures us has plenty of work for us.

He laughed after saying this so it worried me a bit, probably getting setup for something.

So we say Ok, happy with the prospect fo adventuring heading our way (bloodletting and lots of it I hope).

So heading down the road and we see Trngal Keep. Damn that is a huge place, appear to be filled with Orcs and has drakes flying above it. Can feel the glee radiating from Dragoner as he anticipates the killing he is about to start.

Talk the the guy in the burned down outpost and he wants us to have a look round the keep and kill some of the inhabitants. Seems to have been some strange rocks fallen from sky recently they want investigating too.

Should have a busy time ahead of us.

    Gorats recent adventures

Well all seems to be going well got to level 46 over the last week. This is mainly thanks to the static group I appear to be in.

Have made several visits to Xewnnument dungeon now and completed a couple of the quests. Just need one more weapon upgrade for the power suit at the end of this dungeon. Shame the quest are has been disabled.

Also visited Sunset Pointe for the Rakshasa Dungeon. Very nice place, we didnt get too far in though due to an aggro issue. Seems that we pulled about 6 mobs every time we pulled that door mob. This was just a little too much for our undersized group.

Odd really lower level mobs here than in Xenn but seem to be slightly tougher for some reason.

We gave up on Rakshasa after a few tries with the pull and headed to the Islad of Madness with a cut down grp as seeral had to log. All we did was go round the names a few times. Came out with some interesting items, a couple of things while not great I had wanted for a while.

The best drop was the Ring Scematic finally dropped. I now need to farm the 30 shards to get the 3 purple spheres.

Logged on last night and did some shard farming, got 6 in a run down to the arena. Killed some things in and around the arena for coins, think I will save these to get destruction, could turn them in as they are good cash but not yet.

Got another 4 shards on the run back to gnome camp, so have 1 purple sphere already. Probably around 2 hours farming for one shard, definatly beating the odds there. Hope they continue to drop like that.

Did some alt work making sure all the mails had gotten picked up. Its helping to store the wood and Stone on other mobs rather than Gorat. He still has very little bank space. After the merge getting a house for the storage.

    Lokars quick trip home

Well, having to leave Dragoner in the pub as I appear to have lost my distiller. Just as I had learned how to use it as well.

As the only place to get these is from Mekalia General Goods I need to head there. According to my map Deebs has a riftway to Neamsog just a quick trip home and back then.

Get slightly distraccted on the way back with the fields of jute that I need to harvest for my tailoring skills. Hmmm damn dogs around the plants are a pain.easliy removed now though.

    Lakeview with Lokar II

Well we cam back to the village for a bit of a rest while killing those mad cultist types on the island in the lake.

That evening in the pub having a look through our trophies we find what appear to be Unicorn Horns in the pack with all the other body parts. Apparetnly there is a herd of Unicorns to the north. Dragoner wants to see if he can get one to ride. Not a bad idea, getting tired of my pony as its so damn slow.

The next morning as we are heading out we get distrubed by a farmer moaning about these beetles burrowing through his crops and could we get rid of them form him.

Dragoner in his full heroic mode, asked "How Much?", a service fee was soon arranged and it did not take us long to clear the fields.

After that we headed up to the altar on the hill before heading out to the Island. We spotted these cultists the other day but did not realise at that time they were part of the same group.

We managed to capture on of the cultists and talk to him for a bit. In between the screams we find out that we can really upset these guys by summoning Zar and then killing him.

This should be fun we think, the only odd thing is what is needed to summon this creature, Flowers and lots of them. One of the oddest sights I think I will see is Dragoner hacking down a cultist then gathering the flowers next to the bodies.

    Regart, starting out in Telon

Good day sirs, let me introduce myself. I am Regart Terathain, Holy Warrior.

I am new to the adventuring life and have just finished my studies at the Tursh academy. They feel that I have learnt all I can from them and have given me missions to serve the good people of Tursh.

After several missions for the academy which mostly involved culling wildlife around TUrsh to make the area a safer place to live. I was sent to Thenwars Shield to deliver several supplies to the dwarfs manning the dam.

They seem to be please with the supplies and told me of the bandits in the hills to north that were stopping supplies coming down from Bordinars Cleft. I am happy to say that I aided them in clearing these bandits and even managed to ambush thier leader. So that should have ended the threat there for now.

From here the Dwarves recommended I head to Three Rivers Village. Apparently they are plauged with bandits to the north and bugbears to the south.

    Gorat's weekend adventure

Well had a pretty busy weekend it turned out. Had spent the last week or so being kill by nearly everything he attacked and generally losing more xp than he gained.

Friday evening - This all changed thanks to Phowder and her help. Was passing through Razad when I saw she was there and asked for her help with a couple of quests. As usual she gladly obliged (one thing about Storms of Vengeance as a guild, theywill always offer to help) and I finally managed to finish killing off crazed wanderers and the mountain men with her help.

As she disappeared off to get the panther mask, rejecting all offers of help from myself, I got into a general xp group on the outskirts of Raz Inkur. On the whole this went well, but we could have done a lot better had we been more organised. The group broke up fairly quickly but I had achieved my aim and had started to get experience again.

On Saturday, while at Razad I saw a group of guildmates in the Plains of Anguish and immediatly got myself an invite. This was the best thing I could have done.

Over Saturday and Sunday (yes, a group that survived people logging off overnight!!!!!!) We managed to complete nearly all of the quests within the Plains of Anguish.

One other major thing we did was all of us got to the last stage of the Hatred Items quest. This is a series of quests that once completed gives an heroic item. The item is dependant upon your class with the Skeleton illusion remaining the same between them.

As the last part involves a drop from a named troll in Old Targonor, who only drops one update at a time, we will be heading back there in the next week or so to get each of us the update. Hephastius got an amazing shield from this, cannot wait to get the mask for Gorat.

During this time we also visited two dungeons I had not been to before, Greystone and Xennumet. Both very different and both look great. Its a shame that my screenshots didnt seem to come over to curse as I would have liked to show these.

Greystone is full of undead in the Berenaid Hills and was very nasty.with lots of multple 4 and 5 dot mobs. Need to head back there to look at the weapons quests that are in there as they are supposed to be very good.

Xennumet is a very different dungeon to Greytone. You have to follow the questline from the gnomes in the Dragons Backbone to get an entry key, alhotugh only ne grp member needs this, its still worth doing because of the shoulder item given as a reward.

The dungeon itself appears to have been underwater at one time and has lots of names in there. The main mobs inside are 20 or 30 foot tall squid headed type creatures. If you have played D&D and know what an Illithid or Mind Flayer is, you have the right type of creature.

Again another fun dungeon and with the great people I went with, it was a great exploration. Also met a future guild member there called Zzomnie. Not sure if he was just impressed with us as a grp or just happy to find a guild that has enough people in to form a grp with.

Damn fine weekend playing and got from lvl 43 to 45 with these adventures. Nice.

    Lakeview with Lokar

Tonight was Lokars first trip to Thestra, and was glad to have purchased the map from Khal before he got there.

Due to meet up with Dragoner in Three Rivers village, he headed straight there. The journey was uneventful and was soon aiding Dragoner in making 3 Rivers. a bit less hostile to his evil dark elven self.

This was soon completed and we headed to Renton Keep as requested. Whilst looking around we were approached with several missions but were directed that the small village of Lakeview off to the Northwest needed our help more.

We did have a delivery to make there but we think the halfling bandits we met on the way stole the package as we could not find any sign of it when we got there.

A farmer attracted our attention as we were heading past and directed us to the inn as where we would get informtion about the village and the help they needed.

I took the lead in the village while the evil dark elf (Dragoner) hid outside, I managed to convince them he was not all that bad and we could help them.

We headed out on our missions for the village and killed the spiders plagueing the road first. We then found the ruins of a castle which appear to have ghosts inhbiting it. I wanted to cleanse this place but Dragoner, was happy to let the evil lay there. But then he is evil so maybe he just felt at home.

We then moved on to trying to put down the threat of the Zar and removed several possessed villagers and summoned beasts. We spotted then that the island in the middle of the lake had more people summoning these creatures so we headed there to try and stop this evil. (although Dragoner seemed to want to sign up, they were a bit hostile to start with and negotiations broke down really quick).
