World of World of Warcraft

Tuesday night's here again

It's Tuesday night again and I get home from work, hoping to squeeze in that hour of gameplay before the servers go down... Lo and behold they're already down! Bugger. Thanks Blizzard. Again. Your Oceanic servers are about as oceanic as Disneyland.

So now what? I wonder how many people around Australia suffer this Tuesday night malaise?

Over the past few years it’s been the night where I cram in as much housework as possible. Maybe some washing. It’s catch up night with friends. It’s the night where getting stuck into a book is quite easy. Where time seems endless, not gone in a flash and you had to complete this one last quest... You all know how it is.

Imagine if I spent as much time playing the real stock market as I have playing the auction house. I’d be soooo rich. And if I’d spent as much time learning ninja techniques as my rogue, I’d be a damn well trained assassin.

But you know what.... tomorrow night, I’ll be back craving that little bit more time to get a few more levels on an alt before WotLK hits... I haven’t played as much as I once did (thank god raiding gets really boring), but I know I’m gonna get sucked right back in again.

So while I have this freedom, I raise a glass and celebrate our Tuesday nights, whatever you may be up to!

Haha, a very insightful piece indeed!

Tuesday night has barely begun for the West Coast Americans, and so I still have time left to play before the servers close their gates to me. I'm hoping to get to 70 myself before WotLK gets released, and I know I will have the time (I think Burning Crusade showed us just how quick Blizzard works).

When Activision pairs up with Vivendi Games, and thus Blizzard, how do you think WoW might be affected, at least relating to releases? I fear that with much more responsibility on their hands, we might be up for longer waits for our expansion packs, or patches.
