Wrath of the Lich King Beta Opt-In Now Open

You're now able to sign up for the Wrath of the Lich King Beta!

Today we opened the Wrath of the Lich King Beta Opt-In program, which gives players a chance to win an invitation to the upcoming Wrath of the Lich King beta. For The Burning Crusade beta, we randomly invited players from the entire World of Warcraft community. With the Opt-In, our goal is to strengthen the beta-testing process by inviting only those players who have expressed active interest in participating.

Keep in mind that opting in doesn't guarantee you'll be selected for the beta. And players who've previously been promised beta access through a promotion or contest (such as by purchasing the Dell XPS M1730 World of Warcraft Edition notebook) don't need to worry -- you'll still be entered into the beta automatically when the time comes.

    If you got a key for attenting WWI '08 will get you in to the beta for sure, correct or false?

    lol I Just posted this because I didn't see this, I got to go delete that now lol. I really hope I get in although I probably am not lucky enough to get in.

    This just shows that it wont be long until WoTLK wont be long until it comes out.

    I'd opt-in, but they never really fixed my secure login bouncing issue. I can't even change my payment method due to this bug.

    Why should only people who have been playing since launch be allowed to participate?

    While I do agree that players should be rewarded for loyalty and dedication to the game, those of us who simply haven't had the game certainly should be penalized. Are you implying that you are just -better- than everyone who hasn't been playing as long?

    They should definitely put some extra weight behind amount of time played, but players who've been playing only a few months or a year or two should have a chance as well.
