PvE-to-PvP Paid Character Transfers Now Open

Do we need to say more? You can now transfer your characters from a PVE server to a PVP server if you pay for it.

Providing a smooth and enjoyable experience for all players is always a priority for us, and we are continually re-evaluating our policies and programs to do so. As the state of the game has matured substantially since the inception of Paid Character Transfers, we will now be allowing PvE-to-PvP transfers on a full-time basis to provide players with more mobility and freedom to easily play with their friends.

Keep in mind that all of the other standard cooldowns and restrictions will continue to apply; we’re just opening the option to transfer characters on Normal realms to Player-vs.-Player realms. Please review the Paid Character Transfer FAQ (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=20558&rhtml=tr...) if you have any questions on how this service works.

You can use this service at any time by visiting your Account Management (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account/) page and selecting the “Paid Character Transfer” button.

Happy news for everyone wanting to move their characters from a PVE server to a PVP one, that's for sure!

    WHOMG. AWESOME.

Ok, so the people who painstakingly levelled to 70 (80) on PvP servers might not take this as the best news ever, but for me that just opened a ton of possibilities. Now I can app to any freaking guild on any freaking server I want.

I fear the onslaught of lazy PVE gamers bringing PVE readied 70's or soon 80's over to PVP realms when they finish up. You should be forced to level up on PVP and see what world PVP is like. Run through Southshore and Tarren Mill with level 70's all around killing everything. I hope they repeal this decision soon.

Thats pretty cool i guess. Maybe unfair though. Meaning on a normal server, we all know that you can go anywhere, quest, grind without a problem and you can pretty much just fly right through lvls if you know what youre doing. But then you got PVP servers where in most cases, you get interupted by enemy players and it takes longer to lvl quest or grind on a OVO server. thats what my luck is on my RP-PVP server. So people can lvl up on a normal server and live it easy then decide to move to a PVP server. It's unfair but pretty cool. You guys be makens the mores money >:P

I started playing WOW as alliance on a PvE server. After some time of desiring a PvP toon and no way of transferring, I rerolled and started all over again as horde. I cannot say that playing on a PvE server made anything particularly easier. The extra few minutes you can sometimes spend leveling on a pvp server can actually be more fun. However, now I have entrenched my interests as horde and have no interest going back to alliance.

I see no difference in the amount of money on the characters for each realm type, nor do I see a difference in gear. If you are worried about transferred PvE 70's ganking you in lowbie zones, then I'm sure you'll still be able to whine for help in general chat like the majority do now.

I welcome the change, regardless if it's going to benefit me anymore.

we had guildies move 70's to a PVE server and then wanting to move to a PVP server, but were stuck and this will make them happy, if only it was for people that had transfered from a PVP server to PVE and enabled them to transfer back to PVP!

I find it easier to farm on a PvP server then i do on my old PvE server. Why you may ask? because i can kill the alliance competition i am farming against where as in on the PvE server i would have to try my best to get first tag on the mobs

This seems to be in line with the ability to create level 55 death knights on any server.

I have been waiting, and wanting, to transfer my first level 70 to the pvp server I've been regularly playing on for nearly a year now. That way my other level 70 won't feel lonely.
