Patch 3.0.1 Now Available for Download

Hold on to your hats, patch 3.0.1 is now up on the background downloader, and Zarhym wasn't kidding at all when he said it was going to be big. 821MB to be exact.

So, you may want to get started now with the download! As a reminder, you can choose to have the downloader running in multiple ways: while you're playing, when you exit WoW, or both.

And here's a screen cap of the downloader, just to prove it's actually available! If you haven't started your launcher in a while, you may want to so you can grab this patch ahead of time. Don't wait until patch day!

    I agree, this is one massive patch. It's been going all night and it's only at 56%. Get it over with so you don't have to wait for patching day!

    The EU update is on 992 MB :) 58% now :)

    Gonna be interesting to see when the pre-expansion patch comes live :)

    Can someone please post the patch notes? I cannot upgrade yet (I am on a private server) but I would like to see the changes.

    Guys it does not go live until patch day.
    It has to go through PTR first.
    It will probably be 6 weeks before patch day.

    This down load is just to spread the load so that every one does not need to download 800MB+ on patch day.

    I think they are just releasing this due to WAR coming out soon. They want their players to stick around.
