Spellfire and Frozen Shadoweave Changes Reverted!

Well this is some fairly surprising news to see this morning. The changes during yesterday's PTR patch to the Spellfire and Frozen Shadoweave sets, which reduced their Spell Damage in exchange for Intellect, are going to be reverted before the 2.1 patch is pushed to live realms.

From Eyonix:

The changes players have noticed on the public test realms concerning select tailor-crafted items, such as the Spellfire set, will be reverted before the patch is live on production realms.

This means your item sets will remain just as they are now.

Also note, to address the feedback we've been reading this morning concerning the idea of simply “buffing tier 4 and 5 equivalent slots”, the reason we do not is because improving those 3 slots for tier 4 and 5 would force a change to all other tier 4 and 5 items as well (weapons, melee sets, everything).

This was due, for some classes it was more powerful then their t5 set, this was just to balance things out, and it wasn't a major nerf.

Well this is an interesting and very surprising, though good change. I would have to say this is the first time I have seen Bliz take a change that they have made back this quickly.

(Every good tailor must have logged on Test, clicked Item Feedback, and given Bliz a piece of their mind.)

You take 12 Spell Damage off a Chest and tell me it isn't a Major Nerf. It's not like these pieces of gear don't cost a ridiculous amount of material to make either. (What like 100 Primal Fires total for the set or something crazy like that for spellfire? Nooooo.. That's easy to get)

I wouldn't mind the damage nerf really, but reducing the cost to make them is a bit annoying for people who already had them :/

I don't believe they are reducing the cost either. I think people are reading this the total wrong way.

Bliz changed the item, people freaked, so they put it back exactly as it is right now.

I think the price is fine, and the power reflects the cost as it is on live. Glad to see they changed it back

I for one feel sorry about the nerf not proceeding now. Especially after the complete and utter display of whining coming out of ppl for losing a prob of 3% spell dmg on a complete enchanted and gemmed set. QQ!

well i personaly droped mooncloth tailoring (375 3/3 set) so i can build up from 0 shadow tailoring becauze tailoring respec is not possible like blacksmithing, and i made 3/3 frozen shadowveave a week ago and seriouly that was the deal i agreed on and they wanted to change it, 32 spelldmg werent the issue really (we got compensation in intelect wich is also % of spellcrit no?) but arogance and ignorance that blizz takes so easy for the most time demanding thing i did in WoW so far is just unbelivable... seems there is justice in the world after all... :)
