World of Warcraft

WoW Account Sold for 7,000 Euro (9,700 USD)

Selling and buying accounts is something very common in World of Warcraft, even though it's strictly forbidden by Blizzard. Good geared characters are often sold for a few houndred dollars although a few weeks ago one of the currently best geared rogues available was sold - for 7,000 Euro (~$9,700).

The original owner, a Night Elf Rogue named Zeuzo from the guild Method on Sylvanas(EU) was one of the two only people in the world wielding both legendary swords dropping off Illidan Stormrage, final boss of the Black Temple. He also had 4/5 parts of the tier6 armor set, together with various other drops from Black Temple and Mount Hyjal, which could be considered as the best gear available in the game right now.

The new owner goes under the name Shaks and has moved the character to the Kazzak(EU) realm.

Zeuzo, here's a few tips on what you can buy for 7,000€.

 # A Rolex watch
 # A Car
 # A VTL Pre-Amplifier
 # 250,000 WoW Gold
 # 3 nights in a suite at the Palms in Las Vegas
 # A nice vacation for you and 4 friends in Australia
 # 2 Alienware Area-51 ALX Desktops
 # 209 Steelpad S&S SK Edition

The "toon" Shaks has already been banned. (Last login September 3rd. If you feel you can check everyday and that will not change.)

There is no single player here, who wouldn't sell their account for that amount money.

Zeuzo is already levelling a new rogue and we expect him in our raids next week :)

I hope he shared the money with his guildies, considering they worked just as much on his characters gear as he did.

Wow, amazing are you all retarded?

THE ACCOUNT IS ALREADY BANNED. THE LAST LOGIN IS SEPTEMBER 3RD AND THAT IS HOW IT WILL STAY.

Once an account is banned it does not disappear off armory. Please, all of you learn how to play! Thanks!

btw, the guy who sold the account is still in the same guild on a different character. I think the guild is smart enough to realise them weapons will be redundant when WotLK even if they last until 80. Might as well make what money you can out of it eh?

Maybe I'm daft but how can you sell an account and rename the character? Doesnt that require Blizzards cooperation?

selling the acount can be easily done over ebay, and they can transfer the char to another account as long as the credit/debit card number are the same (which can be changed), then from there when you xfer the char to a different realm just make a char with the same name on the realm you're xfering to, and it'll force you to rename the char, quite simple actually

Blizzard must have gotten wind of the sale and decided to maybe teach a valuable lesson. :)

Wow...jesus christ the guy who bought it 'Shaks' obviously has no life at all , and also From the looks of the offical owner Zeuzo , this guy must have been raiding none stop BT to get all that gear and none stop PvP after that , also he has 84k of honor just sitting there ,To be honest i think Blizzard should delete that Charecter Sheet from the Armory , i bet Shaks is sitting at his PC now looking at it and saying '' Why the *** did i pay ($/£)9,700 for this?? '' .......Beacause your a retard thats why.......now i feel sorry fro the buyer and feel overly happy for the Seller . A. He is now ($/£)9,700 Richer and he can spend it on whatever he wants , B . he could jsut restart another account ...lol mayby 10 accounts with that amount of money , or even get richer and richer if he puts his mind to it ....
