Dear god, they finally are showing some love for the tree druid. And now 10 year olds can play a prot warrior (somewhat) more efficently, good show. The mage ritual of refreshment should still be "shapeshift vending machine" in my opinion.. heh.

Links fixed. You just have to put them in [ ] brackets and they work like normal. :)

Also don't forget to check out the patch notes version of this! It includes general stuff as well, not just the upcoming class changes.

And screwed up my uber formatting :P Sorry for editing your post so much Lothaer, I've asked the guy doing it if we can add buttons for simple operations like links, bold, italics and stuff like that since people seem somewhat confused about how mediawiki works.

So you can get a paladin with 100% chance of non-removable seals... that's nice

The increased cooldown on Shadowstep is a really bad idea! DON'T DO IT!

Rogues: What do they mean by threat caused by NEXT ambush garrote or backstab? i mean i could see putting a CD on ambush or garrote but BS...thats kinda lame...and wouldnt Mutilate cause as much threat as BS...plz enlighten me =D

  • Tue, Oct 2 2007 4:32 PM ()

"Threat caused by next Ambush, Garrote or Backstab is reduced by 50% and cooldown increased to 40 seconds" is all part of the line above it, and so effects Shadowstep. And since you can not have ShSt and mutilate at the same time, there is no reason to list it.

  • Tue, Oct 2 2007 4:32 PM ()

Yes i understand that point...but i was wondering why it says Next...like as if rogues had an instant cast for this or something...like what triggers the "Next" is what im saying...like does Stealth trigger this effect? and there for would each skill return back to its original CD and threat after this Effect took place or is the 40 sec. CD forever...git where im going with this?

Any idea whether Arcane shot will dispell magical debuffs on friendly targets or that it will only dispell buffs on enemies?

Only on enemy targets, I believe.

The rogue listing is simply a little messed up and doesn't easily point out the change. The change mentioned (-threat and increased cooldown) refers to when you use the 41 point subtlety talent called Shadowstep. The line above also mentions that it can now be used out of stealth as well. So effectively, this helps make subtlety more viable in PVE by providing higher threat mitigation as well as extra damage on your next backstab, ambush or garrote every 40 seconds. Before, the skill could only be used at the beginning and every time Vanish was up (or you could escape combat, which in most cases is not viable anyway).

Ohhh comeon, give us some real Hunter changes. I must say i think this is less then most hunters exspected :(

Making shadowstep useable outside stealth also aid alot in mobility in PvP.

My Subtlety rogue that is already a terror for people will now be even more daunting to face :p

Retri seals undispelable: Good. Finally they won't get their entire combat system dispelled.

Hunter buffs: Um.... Blizz seriously don't think those things are gonna fix hunters in Arena? They are starting to act like they suffer tunnelvision syndrome, tbh. But hey, having ONE class in the entire game that cannot deal reasonable damage in melee range while everyone else can sounds 'fun'. To hell with balance then I guess.

Disc priests got a buff that made actually people want to go to the 41 talent. Only time will tell if the 5% threat reduction is enough or too large. (Somehow I think it needs to be tuned)

Enhancement shammies still have mobility problems, giving them a wannabe shieldwall effect doesn't solve that.

Mages finally got evocation reworked to be reying on a stat-number they actually use (that it took this long for Blizz to realise that spirit and mages don't mix tells too much about their lack of attention to the game)

And I guess they got too many tickets about jerks playing warlocks that liked to banish other peoples targets while grinding, so they made it impossible so they didn't have to deal with it anymore....

All in all, a mixed bag of stiff I feel.

hmmm the ONLY class thats getting a nerf and no actual decent change is warlocks ... typical lol

Shakari - about time warlocks missed out.

Salsa - i play a Disc Holy Priest and i still wont be getting the 41 point disc ability or CoH for that matter, but its about time the Elunes Grace (i play a night elf priest) was actually made useful and its very good that my Fort and Spirit buffs had their mana usage reduced.
