World of Warcraft 3rd Year Anniversary

Blizzard is beating on the big drum for the third year anniversary of World of Warcraft. They are having a sweepstakes and unfortunately for our younger and non-us users this only applies to the US.

The sweepstakes will begin at November the 26th and end on December 14th and anyone with a US account, who is 18 or older and who has an account in good standing will be automatically entered.

The prices are

  • During the week of November 26, we'll award 10 J!nx gift certificates valued at $100.00 each.
  • During the week of December 3, we'll give away 20 sets of four World of Warcraft action figures.
  • During the week of December 10, we'll provide 5 lucky players with an Apple iPod Touch and a two-year World of Warcraft subscription.

Hope we get something nice come the European birthday too. Can't remember the exact release date but I'm sure it was later than the US ;p

Aww...just a few more months and I'd be entered. How depressing.

European birthday was 11th of February if I recall correct.

Sounds neat enough. Only 35 prizes though. Good luck to all WoW players! (Including myself)

Read the terms even closer, they said Florida is not included! That seems a bit random =`[

Sounds about right - I know I joined a week or so in and that was mid February :)

Usually in Canada, Quebec isn't included in contests or Canada wide deals so I'm not surprised (I'm Canadian btw)

Wow, 9 million subscribers. What 'generous' prizes.....

  • Sat, Nov 24 2007 10:46 AM ()

ya, us players should be awarded because blizzard has had wow for 3 years, these prizes many dont have obviously arent enough....
blizzard doesnt even have to give out prizes, if you expect prizes go play the lottery or something.

Let's look at it this way. Big business rapes you every day. Whether its the overpriced things you buy, the fuel you burn, or even foods you eat. Now Blizzard in their infinite kindness has decided to run a giveaway to show their gratitude to the continued support from their games' fans. And you nit pick the giveaway. They don't have to give you SH*T! They got their hooks in you already they know it. Congrates Blizz! Thank you for your giveaway if I happen to win that's great if not who cares. I play the game because I enjoy the game if I happen to win something that's cool too but it doesn't matter to me one bit.

(THE "SWEEPSTAKES") IS OPEN ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES (EXCLUDING THE STATES OF FLORIDA AND RHODE ISLAND, PUERTO RICO AND OTHER U.S. TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS) why do floridians always get boned...

I'd assume it's considered gambling under their interpretation of the law. God bless the good old United Kingdom where laws don't change across boundaries :p

Yet again going to the bloody US. No surprise there. Hows about bringing something in UK wise for once? Or for the WHOLE WoW community (-.-). Bloody US gets all the attention. But, good luck US people.
