    what a moronic change...

In a game where most people prefer pvp over pve, its interesting how pvp is consistently getting the shaft.

Now this is just a f**king stupid idea >.<

Ah, come on, first of all this disturbes the loot balance because everyone wants a token TWICE now, and second of all it really disturbs the PvE/PvP balance and soon guilds who have BT on farm will be awesome PvP geared with 2 weeks raiding.... sux....

How can u even be thinking of rewarding PvE with PvP gear, it makes NO sence at all....

My fresh 70 boomkin loves this change.

Suck it up. Blizz is appealing more to casual gamers.

The badges for old season belt/boots/bracers are ok. But tokens for PvP gear will definitely disturb the loot balance, especially t6 tokens. Also, I wonder if personal rating will be removed since buying s3 shoulder's with a t6 token would take away the prestige that comes with the s3 PvP shoulders.

Wow, I've been lvling a priest(60 atm) specifically for end game raiding, separate from my lvl70 rogue that's just used for pvp'ing. I wonder if it would be faster to get s3 pvp gear on my rogue thru raiding instead...

This change will help long time raiders get into another aspect of this game, but with this change I wonder if the next new vendors will have PvE gear for honor/marks/arena points.

Of course that would ruin the game even more, people AFK arenas/bgs for points/honor, reform their team every week, get T6 gear, then raid for S3.

As it is, this will make arenas for new 70s significantly more difficult, because of all the raiders in S3 that have little PvP skill, and as such won't get very far.

So you're saying its OK to 'help long time raiders' get PVP gear, but IT WOULD "RUIN THE GAME" if vice-versa?

I'm sorry, but hypocritical statement is hypocritical.

    XD

(Of course you never actually said it was ok, but U OFFEND ME SIR!!!!)

I agree that this is not a good idea--keep tokens for PvE gear only

so does this mean the casual players can no longer get pvp gear for honor and marks? how are the casual players going to compete with raiders in battlegrounds? this is terrible.

  • Sat, Feb 16 2008 3:38 AM ()

i think all of you have no idea what they are doing. they arent changing the gladiator gear to require tokens. they are just making it so people other than those who just sit and grind honor all day long can get into pvp. its not gonna ruin it for you cause if they dont pvp as much as those who are use to doing the exactly same thing every time in pvp than you will kick their ass anyway and it wont make a difference. dont worry they are just adding MORE ways to get pvp gear. they wont remove the old ones. ALSO if you think they are gonna hand out tier 6 tokens to people for pvp gear i think your sadly mistaken as only the guilds who have illidan on farm would be able to do that. SO!!!! if someone took the tier 6 token and than went off and bought VG gear than i can assure you that would almost always result in a G kick wich would insure that player wouldn't raid any time soon, slowing their progress in pvp. fyi raidings where its at.

ALSO you should note that VINDICATOR gear isnt available UNLESS you have tier 6 tokens. only season 2 gear. so therefore the BEST PVP gear is available only via PVP. this just gives tho whove been raiding a long time an oppurtunity to switch to pvp and even thant hey wont have the best gear. THE ACTUAL SEASON 3 SETS are not available at all through this. stop complaining. everyone is capable of afking. we just choose not too as we believe it an improper way to earn gear. we dont like wellfare epics.

So you think it was fine when melee's we're *required* to have s3 weapons to be competetive in pve dps?

Jesus, I get called moron for pointing that out among pvp'ers and now they moan for me having a chance to get pvp gare from my pve....

Now thats being hypocritical, or even more to the point, absolutely retarded on the level of dev who's removing attunements.

Though it's not pvp'ing, you can grind badges and get t6ish type gear already from the Sha'tar vendor so it gives the pvp'ers a chance at gear that ignores armor etc. for when they want to pve :^)

  • Sat, Feb 16 2008 3:38 AM ()

This is what happen when idiots with no pve experience start talking in any kind of forum. No they aren't removing gear for honor. What makes you think getting a t6 token is easy?. Getting 1 person their t6 token takes the coordination of 25 geared people and hours of their time. It takes 1 person sitting in a bg doing nothing to grind up honor. They are just offering an alternative way of getting pvp pieces which are ridiculously easy to get. If the person with the t6 token feels he wants to waste his token on a pos piece of pvp gear then let him do so. A person in pvp gear can pve but a person in pve gear gets demolished in pvp you damn bgers call yourself pvpers and get your welfare epics and keep complaining while blizzard keeps handing you gear for time - skill.
