PTR Notes updated, Blizzcast Episode 2 Available !

Patch notes on EU and US official websites have been updated with the new changes from the latest PTR build (7979), the most surprising change in this build is the Karazhan attunement that got removed, here are all the changes :


Druid

  • Lifebloom: the healing coefficient has been reduced. This spell will no longer cause error messages when interacting with Spellsteal or while the Druid is under the effects of a Mind Control.
  • Nurturing Instinct increases your healing spells by up to 50/100% of your Agility, and increases healing done to you by 10/20% while in Cat form.


Mage

  • Improved Blink: This talent no longer reduces the mana cost of Blink. Instead, it increases the chance for all attacks to miss the Mage by 25% for 2/4 sec after Blink is cast.
  • Icy Veins no longer stacks with Bloodlust, Heroism, or Power Infusion.
  • Mana Shield: This spell will now get a percentage of the Mage’s bonus to spell damage as an additional effect.


Priest

  • Power Infusion: Infuses the target with power, increasing their spell haste by 20% and reducing the mana cost of all spells by 20%. Lasts for 15 seconds.This will not stack with other haste effects, such as Heroism, Bloodlust, or Icy Veins.


Shaman

  • Flametongue Weapon damage effects for rank 3 and above now also reduce healing done to the target by 50% and lasts 5 seconds.
  • Flametongue Totem damage effects now also reduce healing done to the target by 50% and lasts 5 seconds.
  • Ghost Wolf: Cast time reduced to 2 seconds, down from 3.
  • The Global Cooldown of all Totems has been reduced to 1 seconds, down from 1.5 seconds.
  • Healing Grace: This talent now reduces the chance your spells will be dispelled by 10/20/30%.The resistance to being dispelled modifier from this talent now applies correctly to Water Breathing.
  • Rockbiter Weapon: Tooltip and error messages have been adjusted slightly.
  • Shamanistic Rage is now a Physical ability instead of a Magic spell, and thus is no longer dispellable. It now reduces all damage taken by 30% and gives your successful melee attacks a chance to regenerate mana equal to 30% of your attack power. This lasts for 15 seconds with a 2 minute cooldown.
  • Toughness will now also reduce the duration of movement impairing effects on you by 10/20/30/40/50%.

* (Removed from notes) Nature’s Swiftness and Elemental Mastery now share a 10 second cooldown.

Warlock

  • Emberstorm now also reduces the cast time of your incinerate spell by 2/4/6/8/10%.
  • Life Tap: This spell now has only 3 ranks. Each now costs a fixed percentage of maximum health to cast, and grants the same fixed percentage of maximum mana: Rank 1 is 5%, Rank 2 is 12%, and Rank 3 is 20%.


PvP Arenas

  • Matchmaking: If a queued player has a personal rating higher than their team rating, the matchmaking system will now use the highest personal rating of a queued member of that team for matchmaking purposes, instead of the team rating. In addition, when making a calculation for rating gains and losses at the end of a match, the calculation will use the higher of the personal or team ratings on the opposing team.
  • The benefits of drinking out of combat have been delayed while in the Arena. It will now take four seconds before the full benefit of the mana regeneration will come into effect.

Battlegrounds

  • Battleground Rune Buffs:Speed, Restoration, and Berserking buffs received from battleground runes will no longer cause Stealth or Prowl to break.


Raids and Dungeons Caverns of Time: Old Hillsbrad

  • Durnholde Lookouts no longer spawn in the Heroic version of the instance. The placement of creatures around Durnholde Keep in Heroic mode is now identical to that of Normal mode.

Karazhan

  • Players will no longer need the Master’s Key to enter Karazhan. The gates to Karazhan will still require the Master’s Key to be unlocked.


Items

  • Deathwing Brood Cloak: These cloaks are now bound on equip instead of bound on pickup.
  • PvP Relics: The bonus resilience from Idols, Librams, and Totems is no longer stackable by swapping between multiple relics.
  • Shaman PvP Boots: The pre-Burning Crusade bonus to increase Ghost Wolf speed no longer works for players over level 60.
  • Shattrath Flasks now work inside the Sunwell Plateau raid instance.
  • Skull of Gul’dan: This item now shares its cooldown with other similar trinkets.


World Environment

  • Elites in Blade’s Edge Plateau Regions: These creatures now have an increased chance to drop rare depleted items.

    No attunement for kara are you for real that will be nice, not for my tonn that i got attuned on but my new wont need it now so it guess that better...

    So was the drinking nerf not working in arenas before? Or did they remove it from all but arenas?

    No Kara attunement is ridiculous... What next? A free lvl 70 with every new account? If you're guild is running Kara, getting a new member in takes a couple of hours at the most...

    well thats stupid about kara, so only one person then needs the key while the rest can be lazy and not work there arses off to do the chain q?? took me ages to get the key and everyone else should still need to do it!

    soo. . . . i can enter karazhan without the key but i cant unlock the gate unless i have it?

    Shaman buffs screws warriors from entering some arena teams, now that the entire arena team will have a ms if a shammy is around...

    The change to flame tongue is quite nice. i imagine most duel wieldin shammies will be puttin that on their off hand now.

    And for those of you that seem confused it means you dont need the key for kara but someone in the raid will need it in orderto open the gates for the rest of you.

    Well... the no kara attune really isnt that big of a change... Kara attunement really isnt hard at all, the hardest part is getting your flying mount, but everyone will eventually get it anyways, so not too much of a point. But it will help with guilds getting new members without flying mounts currently (such as myself), to be able to get into Kara and help their guild out and possibly earn gear to further help your guild and instance runs. Besides, Blizzard was supposed to make summoning available in Netherstorm anyways so the people without flying mounts could receive their key so the removing of attunement really just saves players about 3 hours at most of instances to get attuned.

    This is rediclous, me and my guild have spent ample amounts of time working towards all kara - attuments, and now their taking it away...

    Let my clearify the effects of this:

    Higher end guilds can now charge "Greenies" to run them through Karazhan to get the drops. This teaches noth hard work eithic, and will only lead to more "noob-ish" 70's on the game.

    well im tire of trying to get the keys for kara cant get no one to help n my realm all they do is pvp n duel n it is stupid to go thru all that crap to get the key to go in

    Personally, I'm surprised it took them this long to remove the Kara attunement, considering they'd already removed Gruul, Mag, TK, SSC, and announced earlier the removal on BT and Hyjal. Why remove all 25's and not remove the only 10-man that had one? Not to mention the lowering of heroic key reqs to honored...

    Honestly, there's only 2 things in this new patch set that are huge:

    FINALLY a major nerf to warlocks!!!

    And the Insanely huge buff to Shamans (MS AND totem global CD reduced). That's rather overboard in my opinion... next druids and mages will have freaking MS >.< They are steadily making warriors useless. I do agree with the totem change though, they are so reliant on them that waiting a full GCD for each of 4 can really hurt.

    i like the new kara change, i truly hate running SL, and for my 4th 70 its going to save a lot of time, and for those complainining its a bad change, why? i read through most of your excuses but to me they werent that... good, like you went through arttunement process so why should they get free attunement? well THAT is exactly what the hardcore raiders said... yet, it still has no impact. big guilds running greens for money through kara? most pvp epics are better than kara gear... sadly :/
    and if you spent time getting other guildies attuned, well good for you... your a nice guy, ive done it too. because you ran them, chances are they will run something with you if you need it, and even so... the patch isnt for about a month.

    "Flametongue weapon puts an "MS" (50% healing reduction) on your current target. 5 Second duration, refreshes every hit."

    So now kara will be like arcatraz. groups waiting outside for someone to unlock the gate so they can all rush in before the gate closes.

    For those of us who have done the attunement on several toons, this is very irritating.

    I agree with Yakattak117, give those of us who have gone through the pain in the butt attunement for kara a special title or something for all our trouble that has now been taken away.

    Im sorry to say but Gruul and Mag never had an attunement, i remember when BC first came out i went in at 65 (minimum level to enter) to see what was inside

    Kz is the new Ubrs and Ubrs still have that thing that only one need the key to enter
