Over on the official forums, Tseric casually mentions that Druids will have a quest line to upgrade their flying form to epic speeds in an upcoming patch. There are no details on the quest line itself, but you will need to buy the epic flying skill first -- this ain't a free ride.

Back on Topic: This seems to be more for fun than for any other reason. We will need the epic flight skill to do the quest so we may not save as much money as the Warlocks and Paladins saved with their epic mount quests (relatively, if you count in the inflation since TBC). But that's not the point. Even if it won't save us much money it is definitely a nice little gift for us Druids. And it's instant cast. I'm starting to love Blizzard once again. ;)
So now druids can simply choose to instantly fly away in the middle of combat, and soon with epic speed as well?
Ummm...druids can't shapeshift into flight form while in combat.
I cant wait for this, i hope it looks awsome. And for the love of god, Please don't let it be a sprite darter O.o
Exactly how hard is it for a druid to get out of combat and fly away..? Or rather.. how can a druid fail to get out of combat.. root/ cyclone/ travel form.. you name it.. Hate the instant cast..
Aenonar: Its actually harder for a druid to leave combat and fly away than it is for many other classes.
Take Rogue for example. Vanish -> Wait 5 secs -> Sap -> Mount Mage: Sheep -> Wait 5 secs -> Mount Warlock: Fear -> Run in opposite direction -> Mount
Being able to get away from a fight isn't exactly something unique to druids.
I keep flapping my Moonkin wings but have yet to get off the ground!
actually all a druid has to do in order to leave combat is cyclone.
Cyclone has a 6 second duration. More than enough time to flight form and run.
FINALLY! all my druid carrer druids where the ones taht no one wanted, not we are awesome, i can out dps rouges tank better then warrs. now this! i remember in the olden days, resto was the only good tree. now we are awesome! try to catch me now when i instant fly away at epic speed!
