Rogue hotshots clash to claim the throne of the "best"!

What happens when the biggest pvp battlegroup in WoW, Battlegroup 9 on the US servers, produces the talent and teams to take on the generally accepted "big names" of a class in the world WoW community?

The answer is simple: e-peen galore.

That said, Nitrana, a rogue and member of the guild Notorious has, along with what many consider to be the strongest 5man Arena team in all of WoW, challenged Ming - a big rogue name on the official blizzard rogue forums to a duke out. His challenge was straight to the point:

This challenge has gained a great deal of attention on the official Blizzard forums as you might see here in this thread. After reading between most of the fanbois cheering on each of their favorites, Curse has had a small chat with Nitrana and he has agreed to give us the video of the showdown to share with the rest of you.

The question now is, who would you put your money on?

Nitrana will win cause Ming generally avoids any REAL challenges.

Who's Nitrana... never heard of that rogue in me life.

Oh and you musn't forget... when it comes to e-peens brandishing, you don't necessarily find those with the most honed skills, but those with the loudest mouth.

Regardless of the outcome both of them will not delete their characters... and if they do... watch them restore them...

Nitrana is a rogue of Notorious in BG9. I'm pretty sure they are only defeated by Tao, but don't quote me on that.

Well, that's why... Lightning's Blade (BG4 if I recall) doesn't even play Tichondrius.

Albeit when talking about 5v5 Arena matches (I presume), Lightning's Blade Horde has some fairly formidable teams that I believe have bested Ming's team on a number of occasions. Although I wouldn't quote me on that, I don't keep up with the realm's "politics."

it's a stupid challenge because it involves 4 others on each team. If Nitrana and/or Ming want to prove they're better than the other, do a race to 10 set of duels or something along those lines.

I see a player transfer to another realm then transfering back with diff name in the future... nobody spends that much time of their life building up a character and then pisses it away over ego's.

Here's my take, for better or for worse: I think the competitive attitude is nice, and it helps to drive Arena combat. I highly doubt that anyone would actually go through with this bet and delete their character. From an entertainment standpoint, a video of the combat from both of the teams would make from some great viewing. Especially if you could overlay the Vent conversations. I think it would really give a nice insight into what really goes on in the Arena with highly skilled teams. Among the players of the two teams, there is a ridiculous amount of Theorycraft knowledge. There are also some players that have proven to have a significant amount of skill. Summary: if we don't get to see video of this fight, then it is not news. It is merely "e-peen stroking". If we get video: fantastic... get to it, and post me a link for the download.

First of all, arenas are 5 vs. 5, not one on one. Whichever *team* wins, it will have been the *team* that won it and not any one player in particular, a rogue least of all.

This is more of an e-peen competition than any real test of skill (if you can consider pressing buttons "skill"). I remember watching Ming's PvP videos long ago and I wasn't impressed at all to say the least. Never even heard of Nitrana. Let's face it, these kids got their attention the old fashioned way: making the most noise. Popularity =/= skill.

Regardless, I find all these keyboard-pounding nerds talking such smack over a video game hilarious...
