12 Hour Maintenance

Yes, you read the title right.  For those of you that don't frequent WoW's General Discussion forums, and may have missed the news, World of Warcraft will be going down for Tuesday maintenance tomorrow, with it expected to last 12 (that's twelve) hours, from 2 AM PDT to approximately 2 PM PDT.

We've known for a few weeks now that 3.0.2 would likely come out tomorrow, thanks to Nethaera's Season 4 announcement, and one of Blizzard's designers commented during the BlizzCon Raids & Dungeons panel that players "had a few days" to get the Corrupted Ashbringer and Atiesh, so it looks like 3.0.2 will indeed be coming out tomorrow.

Have you planned out your new talent specs yet, with the 51-point talents being added?  Protection Warriors will be substantially different, so if you haven't, you may want to take a look and get started.

Inscription, Achievements, Hunter pet revamp, and a lot more.  It'll be a major gameplay change for many, if not everyone, so be ready for a bumpy ride!  To find out more about what's coming in 3.0.2: Echoes of Doom, head over to the World of Warcraft Under Development page.

Oh and it's been nearly 4 years, so be sure to cut your hair!

    @istrain the hell do you mean go outside? I was irritated that I came home from work and it took 3 forevers to be able to log in. And yeah, when Lich King goes live I'll prolly get irritated all over again. And I'll prolly leave another retarded comment like my previous one as a means to help alleviate that irritation, as will others. When that time comes, feel free to whine about our whining as you have just done. happy gaming! :)

    this sucks so bad cuz i thought this was the best day ever cuz the new patches and stuff and now its the worst day ever blizz u just might lose players from this fiasco

    this is by far the worst day ever,i was able to log on about an hour ago, and play on another realm, but I changed my mind, i figured i would wait.Well an hour later I try to log on and it say there is an error ,or such, and I cant even log on......FUBAR patch

    wth? did the patch blow up their servers? got me all excited and now i have to wait god knows how long. This damn well better not happen again when WotLK goes live or I'm gonna kill somebody! dammit!

    great so now its a 16 hour maintenance even though they said all realms will be online but still an hour and a half to bring them online D: I WANNA PLAY MY DRUID NOW SO I CAN HELP MY GUILD D:<

    they said patch wouldn't have to big of an impact on mods. so most of your ui should be intact.

    More like 17 hour maintenance.. When they apply patches, everything usually starts crashing 5-6 hours before maintenance begins. Well, in this case anyways. D:<

    "You mean, the wait begins... lol anyway... 2 AM PDT is like what in GMT?" PDT = GMT -7. PST = GMT -8. So add 7 hours during PDT or add 8 hours during PST and you will get your GMT time. Currently it's PDT until November. "I hope this doesn't screw with the UI add-ons" I'm expecting most of my addons to be broken after this patch, with the Curse client updating them as soon as updates are released :)
