It appears that the next phase of the Wrath of the Lich King launch event has finally started.  Reports are coming in that Orgrimmar is under attack by Abominations and Frostwyrms, and there is activity in Stormwind as well.  The event is currently looping every 15 minutes or so, so it looks like there may be more to come.  Stay tuned for more updates.

Stormwind City

King Varian Wrynn, Highlord Bolvar Fordragon, Broll Bearmantle, and Valeera Sanguinar are all gathered in Stormwind Harbor at a tent.  They also speak some flavor text of the current situation.

Orgrimmar Under Attack

At some point during the event, you can see Thrall and Garrosh Hellscream fight in Orgrimmar arena, you can also see Saurfang running around, Sylvanas and Putress at the entrance of the arena with a map of the world in front of them. (Source - torash)

    Actually Garrosh challanges Thralland he declines. Garrosh calls him a coward, which angers him to accept the challange. In the end it seems Garrosh is victorious, Thrall groans in pain and cant stand up properly. As Garrosh is about to taunt him the Scourge attacks, putting an end to the duel even though the outcome is fairly obvious. Garrosh > Thrall.

    The fight in Org is next to the Ring of Valor. Garrosh is anxious to begin the attack on Northrend, but Thrall wants to think things through. Garrosh then angers Thrall, and Thrall challenges him to a duel. Inside the ring, Garrosh gets Thrall down to about 50% before the Herald of the Lich King interrupts the fight and announces the start of the invasion phase where the abominations and Frost Wyrms appear. After several times through the loop, Thrall finally agreed to begin the war effort to strike back. The goblins are being contacted to begin work on the new zeppelins.

    There were one or two level 63 elite undead spawning in Stormwind when I logged off late last night. Only a few people (mainly low-level bank alts) around getting pooned - but the guards killed it fairly quickly.

    I saw/heard the Herald of the Lich King yell once. Nothing happened after that, except that Thrall was no longer seated upon his throne much less anywhere near Grommash Hold.

    does anyone know the trigger fir this event? no attacks on my server yet, but there are a bunch of people camped out in thralls chamber in anticipation
