The blizzard authenticator sounds very much like the authenticator I use for paypal. I log into PayPal with my username and password then it asks for the six-digit random number that is displayed on the authenticator when I press a button. What I don't get is how they are going to implement it into logging on the game or is it just going to be used when your logging on to the main website. It is a good idea and it has helped me with my paypal account.

It's a RSA token. We use it at work for years now.

The place I just retired from is very high security. Think bulletproof glass, color digital security cameras, key cards at every door except the lavatory, full time security staff, digital electronic tripwires, biometrics, etc. We used these types of things to log into our workstations. Even working from home over secure DEC style tunneling protocol we had to use these things. I applaud this move, and will be buying one for my account as soon as I finish posting this! Honestly this is the best move I've ever seen any game publisher make.
