GL in SSC and TK.. if you had a hard time killing Gruul and Maggy as they are now, you might need it.

However, I think the SSC attunement was a good way of telling guilds "please try to see if you can actually kill a 25 man boss before you go into a proper 25 man raid dungeon."

However, I agree with it. Attunements do feel very restricting.

Im pretty convinced that that you still need the most of the Kara gear before doing 25 stuff. The 10 raids was a way to quickly kit out an entire 25 man raid, so what you see as a failure, have probably been a big plus.

It just places more restrictions on who you can recruit as a guild when the need arises, due to having to make sure you only recruit people attuned to certain zones, etc. Either that or you're forced to go back through content you don't need anymore to attune them.

Even with the addition of the scrolls to Vashj/Kael'thas in 2.1, it would still require guilds to do the zone additional times once they've exhausted their excess scrolls, just to attune recruits that can't enter those zones.

You'll still need the equipment from the 10-person zones in some cases, but it certainly won't require doing the zone over and over again to attune people anymore.

People are still going to have to run Heroics/Kara/Gruul for the proper gear to do these. This just removes the wait time for the straggelers to get attuned that might hold back the progression of a guild.

When the guild I'm in right now needed to recruit several new players we ran 2 groups in the course of one day to get everyone their Heroics for TK done. If you needed Mag or Gruul for your SSC key, you got in. It was easy and simple.

Quite simply it was a check for us - did you even bother reading up on what you'd be expected to raid and did you get the pre-reqs done. Running people through a Heroic is the easy part especially after the nerf to them. The questline existed as a needed check to my mind. The few recruits we got that didn't have their pre-reqs done and that we spent time doing the chains with them in order to run them quickly through, turned out to be less then steller apps who quickly left.

It may be that new attunements > old, but if so, why are the Pre-BC ones (or for that matter Kara evidently) still in place? No, this was done for people who didn't want to put the effort in, assuming that they could walk into SSC or TK with minimal gear and walk out geared. I say put them back - with the nerf to Heroics it really isn't that hard anymore.

Look at what blizz is doing! They are trying not to make the same mistake everquest made. And that is keep the game not so enjoyable. Their just isnt enough hardcore players on my server for us to progress. No one spends most of their life playing wow anymore. When you have that then guild cant progress cause we justs imply dont have the man power. People get discouraged cause they can't get stuff done, or just simply dont have the help. I think it was a good move. I played EQ for 5 years and it took us 6months to get into Anquish+. It was a rough and time consuming experience. That is the main reason I left everquest for Wow. Blizzard likes to make the game enjoyable and challeging at the same time. I do understand what your saying though about people leaving guild etc, but thats why guilds have rules for recruits. Our recruits can not roll on tier helms. So imo I disagree with your statement to an extreme. I just feel blizzard is trying not to take away the fun factor. Some people have lives you know.

Small guilds will crop up everywhere and run SSC and TK without gear and WILL GET GEARED. Yes they will not see success on their first attempts but killing trash will reward them with gear, beating your head against a wall multiples times can get you through. What this has done is made it impossible for guilds to tell if you are dedicated or not. Players can get epics from a scant few hours of pvp and areana combat and they don't even have to win. So when someone decked out in two pieces of Gladiator and all his Highwarlords set how can you tell if he is dedicated or has been working on that gear for Months. If he is attuned for all heroics and SSC and TK you knew that even if his/her gear sucked at least he/she put forth his/her effort to get some good gear. This removal will see a time in which people that ninja and slack off will continue to ninja and slack off in higher instances. This being said why not remove the attunement for Kara and amend the attunement quests to be maybe a little easier for SSC and TK.

Also those guilds that already have teams in SSC and TK:The Eye are now no better for their hardwork. All of the questing grinding instances are now for not.

High Level Instances have always been a privelege to the dedicated, this change has made them a trifle.
