I wonder when people are just going to get tired of being excited of the same one guild being the world first, and then just start going, "Huh?.. They did it? World first... k... so?"

Honestly, Nihilum really doesn't do anything for the WoW community itself. It's obvious they do it just for the bragging rights, they aren't exactly the "Average Raiding Guild" picture. They don't really reach out and say "This is how we did it" or such tips for others. There's something humbling about a uber raiding guild taking their time away from raiding, to help the little folks with tips and tricks.

As much as I can agree with you, that Nihilum doesn't help the community, they are really just THAT good. To them its a sport. I cant help that you may feel a bit envious of them, but do you think Roger Federer og any other top athlete gives out tips to their competitors? You may see this a community, but to them its a competition. And giving away "This is how we did it" tips, would enable their closest rivals to gain a leap ahead, and what interest does that hold to them, if the goal is to be #1?

So just because you find an encounter hard, still using DBM/Tactics others wrote, remember, these guys don't have these tools, so please give them a little more credit than: "Huh?.. They did it? World first... k... so?"

I'm not gonna rate you down, you are entitled to your opinion, but demanding tips and tricks seems like an even more selfish thing, than not giving those out, 'cos' who is doing the dirty work?

First of all, don't give a WoW/Sports analogy, because it just further proves my point, if they are really worried about "rivals jumping ahead of them".. IT'S A GAME. No one is professionally payed to PvE, so what else would the motivation be?

Secondly, again, proving my point, this is a COMMUNITY. Even this page is part of the community of WoW. This is not a competition.. and if it is, further reason why no one should give them any attention if they are the 1st person the 91st time doing something first in the world.

I didn't say "I demand they share their ancient Chinese secret!", I just suggested, after being fed attention because they axed "so-and-so" first in the world, what have they done to return the favor. Videos? Tips? A whole website? No. By far, Curse has done more for the WoW Community than Nihilum ever has, and at this point, will EVER do.

And no, i shant give them more credit than /golfclap. Ever get annoyed at a friend that constantly invites you to watch him do something you know you can't do as good as he can, and gives you the "Oh.. yeah that's cool" holier-than-thou vibe when you try your hand at it?.. Sure, it seems cool the first couple of times, but then you just don't want to hang around him because he's purposely making you feel inferior.

My reference to sports isn't taken out of nowhere. Go look at their website, they made the WoW/Sports link, not I (Nihilum, Mousesports MMO). As you yourself state, they are given attention. And apparently the people giving them this attention find them worthy of it.

I will not argue on the fact that Curse is a loving and giving part of the community (doh, this site i.e.), but that puts you in no position to diminish their accomplishments. And to the whole demeaning friends. Sorry, don't have friends like that. If you do not wish to "praise" Nihilum, that's fine, they got enough fans, but pls don't pass judgement on what they do with their time.

I find it hard to understand that you cant comprehend this situation as a competition. Just look at Bosskillers.com.

And once more. Before saying that they don't get payed. They are in fact sponsored. Im not saying they a making a living of it in any way. but due to their achievements, they have acquired such a sponsorship. Not by being a friendly, helpful, community minded guild, but for doing what they do best. Killing bosses, and being the best at it.

Yeee they killed Archimonde... aand whats now? Gratz to em but there is nothing big :) Nihilum can kill every boss which Blizzard made fast because 30 freaks playin game 18 hours per day with stable raid so its seriously nothing special, I will rather see that any other guild made first world kill like Last Resort or Decimation or Forte. Cos Nihilum cant make any video (maybe they dunno how to work with fraps) from "teh imba" first world kills. And seriously look at Last Resort vids = imba quality which can help other guilds help with killing boss.

Why should they tell u how to it. I have more fun in finding out how to kill a boss with my guild, then reading how to kill a boss cos in my opinion if u need someone to show how to do it u should not be doing it.

@Biospowa Do you really think that someone who is close to a world first kill even would consider recording it? Recording takes CPU power, and if I were GM I'd NEVER allow any1 to gimp their performance until the boss was dead. And "It's nothing big :)"?? They were the first of nice (9) MILLION people to achieve something, but perhaps that's nothing big. I bet you don't think that the first moonlanding were anything to brag about either....

Just put yourself in their position. If you spent hours and hours a day trying to work this out, and you then make it, without the help of anyone but the people in the raid, would you not have a desire to tell everyone about it? I certainly would. I agree, in the long run it get's sort of "uh...ok". If there were more guilds like Nihilum I'd agree that world first is kinda cool.
