Funny thing is that I remember this to be a massive MULTIPLAYER game, not solo/grind craft. Every other class can be raid/PvP viable excpet Ret paladins, Blizzard seems to be taking some steps in the right direction with towning down Ret pally burst for sustained DPS but they need to make Ret a viable raid spec which helps the group like shadow preist and DPS shamans

Also remember, I'm sure folks from these states travel to Las Vegas and gamble every now and then, and that certainly isn't disallowed from what I understand.

It sounds more like there's no "official" location where some of the prize rounds take place - people simply play from their home while logged into a private server - so it's more like the competition is being held in each person's locale. Or at least that's what I gather from the situation. It would be different if Blizzard selected a venue somewhere in the country and held each round of the competition there, I'm sure.

None

Well, even then it's a weird situation. Technically everyone who makes an arena team is entered into this contest, it's just called the first qualifying round. Maybe there's some legal distinction between invite-only contests that makes the second round different from the first even though neither directly involves prizes. Still, to me it seems like Bliz really didn't try that hard to make it work.
