Ouch... that issue with phasing breaking autofollow does suck. I think the mechanic in general is pretty cool though, but I do agree it can be frustrating for friends who want to quest together; you're pretty much chained to each other until you're done or you're out of luck.

I don't know, I thought phasing was a pretty cool addition. It's something I've never seen before and made the game feel a bit more dynamic, even though it is a static chain of events. I can, however, see the problems with it and have experienced them when a paladin friend of mine was helping me with a few Icecrown quests.

They make a huge deal out of phasing, but it sucks if you have a friend who you want to do stuff with, but they're at a different phase. Icecrown and Storm peaks come strongly to mind.

As a multi boxer, I really hate flying over phased areas because even if my toons are all in the same phase, there's a transition "bump" that breaks follow. ugh.
