I don't really have time to forum-crawl, and now I don't have to worry about that.

To me, it's purely inane that Blizzard hasn't realized, "Oh hey, we limited other item enhancements like armor patches, but we never limited high-end enchants meant for level 60 characters to improve end-game content. Oh silly us!"

It seems they tried to rectify this with The Burning Crusade, but yet again, the rules are still too lax. I applied a Assault enchant to my Draenei Shaman's gloves (Shadowskin Gloves) and made them quite formidable. Should I be able to do this? No. An enchant that adds that much attack power greatly raises the item level of the item (note that Assault only requires an item level of 35). Given maybe 10 more stamina, those gloves would be nearly equivalent to something you would find at level 60-70 as a green or blue. So now, a level 38 is using an item like that... how is that balanced? It's not... and Blizzard is still unwilling to acknowledge that fact.

Also, trying to push gear off as skill? Sigh, it's sad to see that even Blizzard representatives think that a player's prowess is defined by their purps.
