I've reported a few "afk farmers" and didn't think anything was being done about it. As for Hellscrem (the realm i play the most) I doubt that the economy will stabalize it has been bad since i can remember but hopeful with Blizzards continuing efforts and the new xpak making gold easier to aquire the gold sellers will diminish into nothingness. Keep up the good work!! =D

But still, there are too many of these parasites left. Only a few days ago I spotted about ten bots in Tanaris, two new ones grinding in Azshara, and - gasp - three old ones farming in Winterspring.

The worst thing is, they are now using rogues too, to get things by stealth, one of these bastards were spamming trade, trying to sell Arcane Crystals, 8 gold apiece.

It should be a continuous effort, and not a campaign-like thing every three months or so.

Since more than half a year I have been reporting farmbots and honor leechers in the battleground whenever I saw them. They all still are ingame.
The last two months I leveled my small chars and saw a whole lot of afk farmers in the low level areas. I also reported these. Now, with level 60, they are farming in Winterspring, Azshara, Silitus, ...
The last two weeks, while levelling my smallest char, I put all the bots in my friendslist. I reported them daily to the gamemasters, together with level, grinding area, etc. They level within one week from 1 to 60 oO

Half a year ago the gamemasters would whisper me ingame and tell me that they would take a look at them and act as said in the Blizzard rules. Nothing happened after that...
Since two months I only get an ingame mail saying the same thing. Nothing happens after that...

On Aman'thul we have afk grinders from level 10/11 to level 60 in almost any area in Azeroth. In certain areas it is almost impossible to quest. Also, you can often see 3-5 afk grinders grinding in the same area on the same mobs. There are so many of them, that they even steal the mobs from another!

No, I cannot say, that Blizzard is really being active, at least not on my main server. Not one of the farmbots have vanished since more than half a year! And I don't believe, that Blizzard really shut down some of these accounts. If they would really want to do something, than they would just have to take a look at the afk grinders people are reporting and then shut down the accounts. But since they are not doing anything, I really think it's just Blizzard policy before Christmas sales to say, that they have shut down so many accounts. Same this year as last year and we will have to keep on living with the farmbots or delete WoW :-(

Again today I reported 2 new afk farmers, level 14 and 16 at that time. Now they are 18 and 19, in a week they will be 60, and gamemasters just don't care. The Blizzard policy sucks!

Thats about 1.5% of the total population of WoW.

According to Blizzard, each reported account is investigated, which I do believe to an extent. If you think that you are the only one on your server that reports these accounts, you need a reality check.

An investigation probably wouldn't be a short process either because they truly don't want to ban the wrong person. I'm not saying they don't make mistakes, but they try not to make them. They probably check their inventory, logins, and activity logs and knowing how most corporations work, all that data gets analyzed by someone else. Do you actually think its a GM that makes a call to ban 105k accounts? They are just messengers, the front line of ingame support.

Just have some patience and eventually those you find and report will get reprimanded.

And..present no proof :) Players complain about cheaters ,more so in Asia, and Blizz understands that the perception of action is gold. So, make some figures,a token comment to assure the community that blizz has thier back and POOF. Really...noone believes this i hope. They let so much go unchecked for a whole year + and then they claim they had seen the light and lowered the bomb. Bullshit haha. Do the math and you too will chant BS
