What a long strange trip it is

The joy of leveling a protection warrior

No, this choice wasn't made due to the lack of gold for dual spec, and no, I don't solely enjoy tanking instances.

Maybe it will sound weird to some, but leveling and questing as protection warrior is a lot of fun. I have been told to have changed my mind as soon as I respec either fury or arms. Been there done that. Not fun. Yes, it can be an entertainment for players who like big numbers to wield 2H weapon (or even two of them) but I am not bothered with slower damage dealing to one mob as long as I can afford dealing it to 10 mobs at once. It's enjoyment of becoming unstoppable killing machine.

To make the fight more fun, I use my cooldowns at all times. It makes caster silenced or interrupted and melee stunned/disarmed most of the fight. It's sweet to not have a single blow/spell land on you during the fight.

Just this.

<3 prot spec ^^

Heh, that's why my druid has been a feral tank for 2 1/2 years. While leveling, the only thing I used cat form for was sprinting around to gather up mobs to swipe them down in bear form. Things only get better with gear ^^.

Must say I must agree. I'm a holy priest lvling with a prot pally and people have told us so many times that neither of us will be any good in bgs...yeah whatever: we DESTROY in bgs and when we're in arathi, our base NEVER gets taken once we cap it. It will be the only one capped sometimes.

I agree with you. When WotLK came out I leveled my warrior all the way from 70-80 as prot. My wife is a resto druid. You can imagine how fast we did the "Kill 10 badguys and then come back to me" quests.

She'd run around and moonfire a bunch while I picked up more, we'd meet up, I'd grab em all then she'd just hurricane them all down. So easy.

Even questing alone is a riot, especially if some clothy is runnin around killing the mobs one at a time, I just go gather a ton of em up and cleave em all down. Prot for life buddy.

Prot palad. All the way down to BG's.

    Agree :)

Especially when you get to higher levels, where you have all your spells/skills arsenal openly available to you.

Been in Northrend at level 70, easily(!) tanking 75-76 level mob (even two of them).
